You can double the brightness of the light with a makeup compact mirror. Place the mirror in the bottom of the container. The light from above shines down onto the mirror and the glow becomes multiplied.

THANK YOU!!!! I've made several cute lights to use as night lights for my bathrooms. I use several across each room & hang one from a closed door in the hall near my kids' room. I have a big flower pot on the front porch (in full sun), and each morning I walk around with a DT basket and collect the light portion. then I take them outside and put them back on the "stems" that have been planted in the pot. In the evening I go out and harvest my light crop, haha! The small crackled glass jars are also super cute with the light top in them. Thanks again!!!

*VIDEO UPDATE:* Please don't throw away your old Dollar Tree solar lights, the battery inside them is replaceable. There is a single AAA NiCd 1.2V rechargeable battery inside each one and it can easily be accessed and replaced using a small screwdriver. (They sell a small screwdriver set at the Dollar Tree in the auto aisle.) Also, in the video, I mentioned using E6000 to glue the lights in place, but instead, I would recommend using hot glue or a semi-permanent glue, so you can access the battery when it dies. Thank you so much for watching!

@@davideinwechter5985 The phrases “”Conspiracy Theory!”, “Tin Foil Hat”, “Satanic Panic”, “False Memory Syndrome”, “You Must Live In Your Mother’s Basement”, “Don’t Breed”, “Seek Help”, “Take Your Meds”, “Put Down The Crack Pipe”, “Nutter”, blah, blah, blah are just very childish attempts at damage control by using tired, old, worn out Cointelpro and Tavistock phrases and tactics that are so last-century, (seriously, they’ve been around since Kennedy, and the tactics are as old as the hills), and no one is falling for it anymore. Anyone still using those phrases or childish mockery tactics either didn’t get the memo, or is one of them...same goes for all derogatory words. It shows either a lack of intellect, a lack of any real argument, or collusion and conspiracy with the perpetrators.

I love how there are so many different ways to decorate with solar lights. I've recently made stained glass solar lights. I just buy the solar stake lights and I take off the clear plastic parts and paint them with acrylic inks. Once they're completely dry, I put the lights back together and stick them in ground. Great ideas! Rather than glue, tho, I'd use caulk to keep light in place and also keep out moisture. The tube of caulk can even be purchased at Dollar Tree. I do around my windows & doors in-between seasons.

@@bakerdestyni3757 it's probably the cheap batteries that come with them. I bought some rechargeable ones from Amazon that work well.

Very impressive young lady. My man is all about decorating our home with low voltage lights and solar lights around our home's perimeters, trees, flower beds etc. Can't wait to share this very cost effective way to use the cheaper ones. Thanks. ⚘

I have drilled a small hole in the top of my mailbox and pushed the light and light casing from the solar cap into that hole. Now the light shines inside my mailbox at night to make it easier to see if I have any mail when checking after the sun goes down and no more spider surprises! Love all the other ideas on here as well!

The 3 foot tall light would be a great way to mark the mailbox in all this snow.

Running to DT now to scoop up a fee more of these bad boys for my patio. I've already put them all around my tree beds in the front. Now it's time to have some fun in the backyard.

This maybe one of the only dollar store ideas I’ve liked and intend on doing. I have a great sun porch and Im redoing it as a COVID project. This will add nice relaxation lighting for night and as a bonus I can use them as hurricane backups.
