I would personally go for the cheaper P1 as I'm looking to upgrade from my 2 year old 1200 mile 1000w 48v Chinese off road scooter to a hub drive more efficient ride and im not in a financial position to get the more expensive 1... If my need wasn't of urgency for transport then I would go for the pro as it offers more for your money and helps to future push the company to create more awesomeness from a British company perspective... Both are very well priced and unbelievably competitive in its placement and abilities... I feel I will be calling you guys up... As the x9 scooter though good and also well built is not of the same breed made for UK use I feel from my experience and knowledge....

I went for the solar P1 2.0 as I have a limited budget. I hope I don't regret. The P1 Pro obviously looks better but I think about 40 mph is great for me plus I don't go on massive trips. Has anyone else had this scooter and got positive reviews

at full charge, it shows voltage is around 58.3 I usually ride until it's on 52.5 and on 3 bars charge when I first got the scooter, It was on 3 bars, and it went down to 2 bars, then a few minutes later the scooter just died is there a specific voltage when the battery is about to die, because I cant recall what the voltage showed before my scooter died when I first got it. ps: can i put a tracker inside the scooter, where the battery is? it's a small apple airtag

Was wondering if u guys can add the charging ports on top instead of the bottom on the next version and instead of adding solar your should add FF 3,0 or name is solar phoenix just put a small plate for solar and add led or Tron light whit Phoenix that would be great just how the car manufacturer do it

Has the front suspension problem been fixed on P1 Read loads about it rattling and very harsh,one person had upgraded springs posted to him, thinking of buying one😀

We have since upgraded them, but they are still quite tight, though they are still comfortable. They are lean for a purpose which is stability at high speed 🙌🏽

Bought a P1 pro on new year day and I have been nothing but impressed with it.i personally have had no rattling issues with mine and although not as soft as the rear suspension it's just right when you get up to the faster speeds when you want it more stable.. would recommend one to anyone

Sorry to be picky but both scooters have disc brakes not hub breaks but I understand you probably felt uncomfortable talking and when you looked at the scooter from your side you didn't see the disc and got flustered... My apologies for pointing it out, the joys of adhd sir... Great scooters for a great price, my only concern is the handlebars not being strong enough to take much abuse when off roading. But im use to mx style handlebars so it might just be me... I've had 2 Chinese £500 1000w 48v sla battery off road scooters that have done over 1200 miles yes 1200 miles each.. With sla battery ridden at walking pace I can get 24 miles on flat ish damp off road bike tracks on 1 charge... I weigh 8 1/2 stone... I'm now wanting to go hub motor and lithium battery so would be keen to understand more about this British company... Are these Chinese imports or actually British built and made... as I would love to support a fully British business... especially 1 like this...

How about Water Ratings, Can it be riden in the rain, for normal commute on tarmac etc... little puddles or water running down the side of the road towards a manhole for example,... Is there any basic protection to the electric componenets , cable connections etc...?

@@SolarScootersuk i dont know if many have mentioned this but the button layout is perfect. ill be upgrading from a ninebot max to one of your scooters and removing a hand on bars that are not very wide to press a centre button whilst moving is proving very dangerous at times. and you have to do this to turn lights on and off and change the speed mode. not only did the speed of your devices appeal to me but the positioning is perfect good job! cant wait to buy mine in 2 weeks. p.s. its also super reassuring knowing you will respond to questions. keep up the good work Solar!

What is the real world figures on distance you can cover on the p1 pro? I know online it claims 50 miles but how close is it to this figure?

In the summer you will get the rated 50 miles depending on use (many variables come into play) In winter you can expect half the rated range due to the cold.

He looked into how to get it road legal and he went deep into it and it turned out he could actually do it but the ball ache would be huge and he's far too law abiding to ride it bare back.... I however, am not..... And am prepared to run the gauntlet. I've ridden my P1 around 6 times and love it. But! I love the looks of your R1 more. I bought the p1 around 8 months ago it’s never done 40mph the fasted it use to go is 37 mph and doesn’t even do that now for some reason also the mileage range is completely wrong you would be lucky if you 15 mile of it not happy at all as I paid £940 for it I’d like someone from solar scooters to sort it or swap it as mine could have battery faults etc

Hey Chris - top speed will vary on a number of factors. Riding style, temperature, weight, wind, elevation, etc. As we are still in winter with colder days, top speed will be limited. However there are things you can do to help with achieving top speed: - ensure tyres are both at 40psi - you are in dual motor - you are in speed mode 3 - scooter is fully charged Hope that helps.
