Great information. When putting panels on your roof does anything special need to be done structurally to carry the weight of the new panels.

Most roofs are able to support solar panels without reinforcement as the panels are lighter and the weight is distributed, but it does depend on the age and condition of your roof. If there are any issues, best to fix those before installing panels. A local expert should be able to tell you if you have anything to worry about. Thanks for watching, so glad it was helpful!

That’s why I don’t hv solar ! I am a finish contractor and hv desperate ppl call me asking if I can fix leaks that hv occurred with solar panel installation ? I tell them I am not that kind of contractor. I refuse to put them on my tile roof ! I will live w/o them knowing they need cleaning where I am twice a year ( farming country ; trees all around the neighborhood! Plus 90% of those solar co., hire poorly trained individuals who may hv one person on the job with experience! Overdriven screws with o ring washers thru sheeting , not sealed. I will not buy a house with solar on the roof! PERIOD! My son in law placed them on the barn roof! Then ran the proper connection to the house! Next he will set more on racks in the field ! And he works for one of the largest energy companies around! That right there should tell you most of this is a scam ! Here is the States we changed from “ no drill high energy cost , putting panels everywhere to now after electing a reasonable man “ drill baby drill , low energy cost” !
