Dave, I have a 1 poly 100w panel and 1 flexible 120w panel. I have 2 110AH leisure batteries. My controller is a PV Logic STCC 10. Don't use too much power, 12v TV sometimes and 2 phones to charge, fridge is gas. I'd like to upgrade my controller as I'm not sure it's good enough. Any suggestions? I'm off to follow the sun in the US for a year in March. Thanks. Gary

In Scotland they have longer summer daytime than the south of England, so charging times are longer :)

@@hazelmcfaull2111 Hi - yes I know it sounds strange but the days are longer in summer the further north you are. Hence why they have almost 24hrs of daylight in the artic circle in summer. Check it out on line. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dave for all your informative videos, I'm about to install a solar panel on my motorhome to keep my leisure batteries topped up for off grid times, but when I'm on sites and hooked up to electric will the solar panel charger affect the mains battery charger?.

You posted this 7 months ago so I don't know if you have had your question answered so this info may not be required but here goes. Its not really a good idea to have both the AC charger and the solar connected at the same time. To avoid connecting and disconnecting the solar every time you connect to AC, you can install a voltage sensitive relay. Once it detects power from one source it disconnects the other source. IE. when you connect the AC, the relay detects a current and disconnects the solar. When the AC is disconnected the solar reconnects. this way your batteries will always have a charge going to them.

You could fit Anderson connectors to your solar wires and just unplug solar When on site power
