"The solar power plant based on the principle of converting Light Energy of the Sunrays into Electricity uses a special Cells, which are known as “PHOTOVOLATIC CELL”. The Principle is very simple, when light falls on certain semiconductor materials, electrons are released and this is how they produce potential difference (Voltage).
The electricity produced from this method has comparatively higher initial cost. As the solar cells are costly. Most importantly, it is not an environmentally friendly alternative as the Solar batteries are not recyclable.
