I first saw this video on my smart TV. For some amazing reason there was no naration, just some music that kept playing over and over. Amazingly, it perfectly conveyed my joy at finally seeing you reach your goal.

My wife loves this refrigerator. No more hard compressor starts making the TV shut down and the lights flicker. Thanks for the review.

I'm loving this refrigerator too! Super efficient, quiet, and quiet! I didn't want to hear any noise, and unless I am right next to it, wouldn't know it's running. Mahalo for tuning in, and your feedback 🤙

Our current fridge is from 2003 and my meter shows it uses 130 watts when running. You are doing great with that one!

Good choice. I think because it's inverter powered (internally), compressor ramps up slowly instead of old skool compressor that hammers the AC line to kick it over. The lower start surge of an inverter type fridge reduces spike on your DC to AC inverter.
@ProjectsinParadise8083 жыл бұрын
Yeah Curt, it is the inverter compressor and so far, absolutely loving it! Just running it through some testing and watching it. I'm very pleased with how it's working , and will follow up at some point on what I learn. Thank you for being part of the conversation here...aloha 🤙

My brother please can you tell me the difference between a four star refrigerator and a inverter refrigerator?
@robertmeyer47443 жыл бұрын
looks great ! love new appliance . I have smaller GE emergency star . what a difference ! my old was GE made in 1978 ! big drop in power . still hard wire 12ga Romex cable. UL . you could use stranded wire but need crimp terminal to use on plug. remember 120V ac power safety ! go to inverter manual and check AC ground . my inverter had a ground lug and I put that to a ground rod 8FT . and can use GFIC outlet . that appliance is metal on the outside. ground if for shock hazard. also check manual on solar charge controller about grounding . I have morning star and it has a ground terminal for earth ground . keep a watch on system . don't know if your meter has a watthour or kilowatt hour . want that for 24 daily usage. make Shure you fill out warranty card send it in. I did mine online .

Hey good morning to you Robert, and thanks as always for your considerate suggestions. My inverter, and charge controller both have small ground terminals and I plan to use on both as well as use the 12 guage hardwire. Don't think I can get an 8ft. rod in place here...solid lava rock under the house. I've been thinking about just drilling into the concrete pad in utility room with a short rod and calling it good. Not sure yet how to best do this. I want everything safe of course, so still studying best methods for this environment....many thanks for all you do for everyone here...aloha 🤙

Wow! I have a side by side and I draw 3 times as much. It is 17 years old though. It must be an inverter compressor. By using an inverter controlled motor, it can vary the speed of a more efficient motor. They have them in air conditioner units also.
@ProjectsinParadise8083 жыл бұрын

It's an LG Model (I think) is LTSC20020S. As of this writing, LG's website shows it on sale for $800.00USD. Not bad. Optional ice maker is available too.

The compressor on a refrigerator can draw 3 times the running draw, in you case about 60 watts, for 25% of the time. You failed to provide the total wattage over a significant period of time. e.g. total wattage for 12 hours. You also failed to say how many watts of solar consumed during your test.
