HI Sir. You are a dam good DIY GUY! With no specialized tools you elaborate very nice looking things that work beautifully. I'm a person like you who Iove to experiment making and building in different ways, as we are called " Un patenteux " in my homeland "Quebec, Canada". I will continue to follow you and I wish you good luck for the future. Bye. Jacques.

I ja dijelim tvoje mišljenje, živio i radio na tome da nama bude planeta zemlja ugodnija za život nas malih ljudi, a koji i jesmo u stvari veliki ljudi, jer vidimo par godina ispred vremena i iskreno se radujem svakom novom unapređenju (inovaciji) koju ljudi poput nas izrade (usavrše) 🤗✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨🤗✨🌍

Beautiful cylinders, you have to hurry though while there is still some sunlight to speak of.

Which is? Bear in mind he doesnt have a lathe. Ive been down this rabbit hole 2. Best solution I found was a graphite seal but again needs a lathe.

Check out "Rotary Compass Circle Cutter". if you're unfamiliar with that it works on the same Principle as a compass that you draw circles with except it has a scalpel blade and it'll cut a perfect circle out and some pretty thick material. They're really inexpensive and get them on eBay for five bucks. I bought one to make gaskets for Steam and Stirling engines and they were Fantastic!

I've looked it up and it's a fantastic tool! Thank you so much for teaching me that! Will definitely buy one! 👍

Hi there. Hope you are well and happy. Looking forward to seeing how you set up the valving timing on this engine. Do you have a plan in mind?? Have you studied the valving on other compound engines?? That will be the tougest part of your project. I have been thinking about how you might be going to do it, but so far I have squat. The fact that you are going to have them offset from each other by 120 degrees, seems to make it even harder to comprehend. Good luck with it. I am hoping you can come up with something.Your outboard engine really runs smoothly. So the basic valve design is good. Getting the right ports of the second and third cylinders to open at the correct time is going to be a challenge. All the best.

Thanks! I'm going to use a stephenson valve gear. Each cylinder works like an independent steam engine only fed with steam by the previous cylinder. I only need to connect the gear with some levers so the timing is the same for all cylinders. The design is already in my head, now I only need to make it! 😊
@gasonthebrain37384 жыл бұрын
@@TheDIYScienceGuy So are you saying that the three cylinders won't be connected to a common crankshaft??
@TheDIYScienceGuy4 жыл бұрын
@@gasonthebrain3738 No they will have a common crankshaft and a common valve gear crank and because of the common crank shaft the valve crank will always correspond with the right cylinder.
