Excluding the R&D now that you have a design i wonder what the cost per kw/h versus a solar cell system is like including maintenance cost and replacement of parts over the course of 20-30 years. I feel like these systems would be more cost effective and ethical due to the simplistic materials required to manufacture. Sure its not as efficient due to how it would convert energy but the lack of rare earth materials to make these versus solar panels must really add up.

Idk on this scale but the solar steam power plants are more efficient than panels as far as energy per area.

Photovoltaic panels have an efficiency of (10%-25%) (under standard laboratory conditions) and are an extremely complex and consuming system. In addition, the human need is not limited to electricity only.

It's saturated steam, that's why we see the white in it (condensed vapour).
