+E 10 no you don't, black holes warp space time so much that an object in motion would move along space time following it and be drawn to the black hole with no energy to escape. You can model this with a stretched cloth, one large ball in the middle and another smaller one rolling across the sheet. You'll notice it follow the curvature of the sheet. This is very similar to space time with large objects.

I can't see any real difference in this Documentary compared to the traditional. I find it daft in the sense it gives no real fundamental change of viewpoints. For a starter. The sun is not a "furnace" made of hydrogen converted to helium by fusion. Secondly, the planets seem to have a distinctive and separate history of origin. The spin and axes of the planets have different angels. Some are aligned to the sun or, not at all. Thirdly we are in a Galaxy that has tremendous consequences and most of them are poorly understood to say the least.

The problems with this video are many. One of the first things you learn in physics class is that there is no such thing as "centrifugal force". A more palatable, less complicated, question is: "From where did all the stuff come?". That is, If Earth is made from a glob of hydrogen and helium, from where did the Nitrogen and Oxygen you're breathing right now come? EVERYTHING should be made from Hydrogen and Helium, right? So if you find other elements, the planets were likely not ejected from a mass of Hydrogen and Helium. The more plausible hypothesis is what you were taught, all bodies in the solar system coalesced from a mass of elements from other stars that went nova.

There is a much simpler explanation: The active ingredient of the sun at all hot bodies is water!! Google Brown’s gas. if you want to listen to more of what I have to say; I am 64 years old and when I went to school the general consensus was that the sun and all hot bodies consisted of only hydrogen gas. How hard is that to wrap your head around? Water is everywhere!!!! If they were all hydrogen gas only, everything would be the same!

I got lost at your suggestion that, as each new planet was flung out of the sun's equator, it 'gravitationaly repelled' the others, pushing them further from the sun! I think you'll find that gravity sucks! It NEVER blows! Also, if all of the planets were just bits of the sun, their chemical constituents would be identical. They're not!

The planets’ and moons’ orbits are not fixed for all time, right off the bat this is wrong. For a three examples we have the moons of Earth and Mars. Each year the Moon increases it’s distance from the Earth by around 10mm, a seemingly minute change considering the size of the given solar bodies, but over geological time this will eventually mean a huge change in the overall orbital mechanics. As for Mars’ moons Deimos and Phobos, eventually, again over huge lengths of time, one will end up moving out or Mars’s gravitational grip and the other moves closer to it’s parent planet and will eventually crash into the surface of Mars

Except for the silly last few minutes of this video, your explanation of the planets' formations are quite close to what we were taught in school. There are a few details mentioned here which differ slightly from my memory of astronomy class. Mercury DOES spin, though very slowly. It doesn't "wobble from side to side". Also, the rate at which the planets are receding from the sun is so slow, we have no idea what will eventually happen after billions of years in such a dynamic setting. But most noticeably was your assertion that Jupiter has 16 moons "grouped into four sets of four". WTF? By the time I was in fourth grade it was common knowledge that Jupiter had very many moons. Well, that was half an hour of my life I'll never get back... Oh yes, and if you're going to quote someone, at least give them credit for its origin. The second sentence of your description is a quote by the geneticist, JBS Haldane.

Your idea for the Solar system has missed out Rogue Planets . A Nebula could have thousands of rogue planets. Example if a gas giant the size of Jupiter was ingesting copious amounts of hydrogen in the nebula it would eventually turn into a giant ball of gas until it reached the point were the gravity had become too strong the gas ball would implode into a sun and the residue would become gas giants.The inner planets are moons of two gas giants that collided in the earlier stage of the solar system. The heavy bombardment in the solar system happened in the early stages of the solar system

Let's play along for a moment that nasa tell you about space but the earth is flat.. It would look like circle of melt water with an ice ring that doesn't melt and holds in the oceans like a pond. Isn't it just as likely that aliens exist and come from beyond the ice ring? There could be other areas like ours that have a sun circling a magnetic north and leaving the oceans full of melt water. Those aliens would be happy to know that our understanding of "space" is incorrect. In fact, they would bolster the notion of space so we don't catch on that they are coming from across a flat plane that stretches out for millions of miles.

+Tony Ketcham mars and Jupiter stop planet formation because they tug on the belt gravitationally. We can prove this through mathematics and observations. For example things like the comets we know of we have to chart with Jupiter in mind because it alters their course and speed.

Saturn was once the center of our solar system, after that, Jupiter. That is why Jupiter is the sun of Saturn, and the sun now is the son of Jupiter. Stars divide. It's a cycle. It's the missing link and root of much esoteric knowledge.
