They did a pretty poor job with Mercury, TBH. As a matter of fact several planets could use a visual overhaul, especially Pluto, which looks flat and featureless.

Some of these are tough to compare. For example the “real picture” of Jupiter doesn’t actually look like that. That’s the enhanced version specifically designed to look better utilizing multiple spectrums. If you saw it with your own eyes it would look closer to elite. And with the sun it’s using a sun filter which can change the hue drastically depending on what kind of filter was used.

Why didn't they made the moon landable???? I mean imagine you can visit the apollo landing spot and watch the earth from the moon. That would be crazy. But frontier has messed it up as usual

@aryan nandan i can't speak for the odyssey expansion, but im pretty sure that you can't land on the moon in the core game because of heavy colonising and other details that would just be too much for the game
