Why do I feel like we buy a lottery ticket every morning and the “winning prize” is a first class trip through the toughest crucible of our lives. I guess at the end of that is a return to the basics that truly matter in life (family, faith and fire), so maybe it’s not all bad. Next Wednesday I start my off grid transition from Texas private security into northern NM off-grid nut. I’m gonna use a dispersed camping and gold prospecting trip as the excuse to prevent the long explanations to people that are not willing to see the coming change. Thanks for the kick in the backside, @Suspicious0bservers. Your videos have had me aware since 10 years ago, preparing since 3 years ago and now finally off my a$$ and moving as the final approach draws near.

@@realist7239 I’m beginning a gradual process of testing and refining my rough terrain hiking and camping gear, acclimatizing my better half to the infantry/survivalist mentality and gradually increasing the length of our stays to the maximum of 2 weeks allowed by BLM until I can make something more permanent. I’d recommend to everyone finding some way to proof and test the gear they’ve chosen as something they’re going to rely on if the power goes out. Finding out that your gear doesn’t hold up to rigorous use one day late means living without it.

Georgia 1:00 am this morning and I'm getting to bed The windows were open for a nice spring breeze, and before I touched the bed I could hear two large surges to the power grid. The transformers near us were pulsing with that ''hmmm'' sound that was very noticeable about 5 seconds apart. It's cool at night still so I don't think it was a usage load problem. My mind went straight to "Oh shyte this is not a good sign at all."

Orações pelo estado do Rio Grande do Sul, onde eu nasci. Mais de 700 mm de chuva em 3 dias e ainda está para chover com chuva moderada. Cidades devastadas, muitas mortes e desaparecidos. Porto Alegre , a capital, recebendo toda a água que vem descendo , já está com mais de 5 metros e continua subindo, da região metropolitana para o centro. Em 1941 data da grande enchente na região, foi um mês de chuva, dessa vez poucos dias. Relato um sonho há 4 dias atrás em que eu via várias torneiras abertas , eu estava numa varanda abaixo e olhando para cima, sendo a estrada mais alta, vi um imenso crocodilo passando e em seguida um lagarto enorme. Na verdade , nas enchentes grandes os animais se deslocam., foram encontrados búfalos no centro da cidade.😢

Good morning Observers, low last night of 41.7°F going for a high today of 71°F under mostly sunny skies here at 6600 ft on the mountain in NE NV. Yesterday’s high of 56.1°F was -4.9°F lower than forecast. Forecast = partly cloudy today, rain Sun thru Tues, partly sunny Wed, partly cloudy Thurs, sunny Fri/Sat, partly sunny next Sun, sunny next Mon with highs in the 40s/70s and lows in the 20s/30s. Crap - I have to fly to Indy on the 6th. Thanks Ben, Family & volunteers for all you do in keeping us all informed and opening eyes everywhere. Enjoy Spring wherever you are.

Low magnetosphere allows for more cosmic ray's to filter through, hitting the planet and it's inhabitants. UV damages the DNA of our skin cells, lord knows what it's doing to our insides..
