Well explained. This the best Video among all such Videos , this is very easily explained in a simple way . At one stage, He should not tell " Main grid se Bijali cut jayegi " but should tell " Bijali Chali Jayegi ya shut down hoga " --> Bijali cut ho jane ka matlab kuch aur nikalta hai ... Or He should tell clearly that (1) Electricity generated by Solar System will directly go to Main DISCOM grid after getting recorded in Bidirectional Net Meter , and what we can use is from Main Grid as gets recorded in the same Net Meter . We have to pay the bill or get the Credit balance on the Difference only (Export in kWA - Import in kWA ) = Net kWA ) . If I am correct whatever is produced ( Electricity in DC Form ) by Solar system will directly go to the Main Grid through Net Meter and what we are always can get and use in our home is from the DISCOM Main Grid only. That is the reason , why Solar System stop sending power as produced , during Main Grid Power shut down , our home doesn't get Electricity and we have to spend that time without Any Electricity in Dark , unless we go for Backup Battery Unit as preferred ..I hope I have correctly understood this machanism.... . Sir thanks for your nice presentation. Can we do the following 1. In day time , can we disconnect the grid through change over switch so entire load would be run by Solar system. in day time. (During this time batteries are supposed to be fully charged). 2. When sun sets , we operate the load through charged battery with grid still disconnected till 50-60% of the charge of the battery is consumed 3. Then load is connected to the grid but not allowing the batteries to be charged though grid. 4. If there is power interruption, then load is put on the batteries manually (As batteries are not fully discharged).

No you can’t. On grid inverters will have safety feature. It will cut solar to main grid connection because line men will be working for maintenance on main grid when there is power cut.

Little knowledge is dangerous!! You are wrong about an on-grid system my friend. The on grid system converts DC to AC and goes direct to a solar meter (optional) and then to a net meter (bi-directional meter) and further to the grid, it has no connection to our domestic DB whatsoever, so the 300 watt you are saying is not provided by the inverter but actually consumed from the grid. Thats why an on grid system has to turn off the moment power failure happens, this is an international standard!! to avoid any electrocution for staff or load failure to the transformer or inverter. The DC produced by panels is not converted to AC & therefor neither sent to the grid nor the DB at our house, or else we should still get electricity in the house, right?? The on grid inverter will also turn off if you switch off the isolator or when the sun goes down.... further more you are wrong about the off grid too, the off grid has various configuration depending on clients need and budget, that can be designed so that the grid does not have to charge the battery at all, there by not consuming any units from grid... it all depends on how to calculate the total unit consumed per day, and the KW system that has to be proposed for the specific household in order to save 100% or 10% or whatever. Thats why it is also is known as a stand alone system. It can run full day where no grid connection is available... Even an off grid system can make the energy charge zero.. just we have to calculate and provide the correct solution.. Matlab.... kuch bhi!!
