I noticed another thing about Earth’s personality. He’s pretty impulsive and quick to action once he’s made up his mind. Like, he doesn’t sit and just think about something passively. Once he began to feel guilty, he doesn’t think about the making first step to improvement that Mercury talked of. He doesn’t even hesitate about attempting suicide. Instead, he SMILES as he heads towards the Sun. Even when he was paranoid about the Sun destroying them all in the future, he didn’t sit still and was continuously looking for drastic ways to survive the catastrophe. He even puts up with us even as we’re trashing him and tries to not dwell on it for long and keeps trying so that we can become even more advanced civilisations. I bet it’s a habit he developed in his endless endeavours to have life. Even after facing multiple extinctions and ice ages, he kept working hard to have life. He’s actually pretty ambitious and active, eh?

SEL lessons were always wrong and this episode is an amazing example. Mercury took the same path most of us take when we see a depressed person. We’re kinda fed that a depressed person can take care of themself by themself with a little help instead of the preferred option of actually sticking through the whole process. Also, when the moon said "But then you... changed, the earthlings took advantage of you, polluting your oceans, destroying your forests all while searching for another place to escape to once they're done with you!" it makes me think that the Earth was nor rude just because he felt above everybody for having life; he was rude all those times because when the earthlings took advantage of him like he didn't matter, he probably just didn't want to feel worthless, he wanted to act above everybody so he wasn't a nobody (At least that's what I think)

🌎Theory: Long after Theia’s death, when Earth started having life, he was super nice and caring. But then the Permian extinction, the Dinosaur extinction lowered his confidence but still he was determined to have life afterwards. But then humans came and took advantage of him so only recently in the past 150 years or so he was an egocentric so he can feel special and try to get rid of the negative feeling. Now the episode The Earth Alone pt 2, it reviles his true colors.

Oh my goodness... I can relate with Earth here. I have been through times when I thought I was a terrible person. Those were times when I thought that all I did was hurt other people; that I was a terrible person who had no reason to exist. I thought I was a nuisance to everyone I met and I never meant anything good to anybody. The solution, I thought, was simply that: stop existing. Stop living. If I don't exist, I can't be a burden to the world... (I didn't actually try, but I thought about it.) But that is not true. It was a combination of me being extremely hard on myself and being overly sensitive about what others think. I know better now. The people I interact with love me and have faith in me. The people I interact with help me bring out my best self. I hope Earth realizes this before it is too late. Thank you, SolarBalls, for showing it so accurately.

honestly I almost wanted to cry this episode showed how depressed someone can get over something that it drives them to extreme precautions. Earth is at his breaking point knowing what he did and how he hurt the people he hurt. Here are my theory for next episode: venus is gonna see him going toward the sun and ask "what are you doing"? but earth isn't gonna say anything and venus will try to stop earth and Mars will see what's going on and try to help Earth. The sun might even wonder why the earth is gonna toward him. Sad to see earth might want to you know.... anyway love this channel ❤

Plus, Titan already has life under the ocean so if anything it will make him the new Earth (a position of power he will probably want to accept or protect from Ganymede and Europa)

earth alone part 1 and 2 broke me into pieces. the scene with earth's hallucinations reminded me of unpleasant memories, the sudden silence sent chills down my spine. i never realized how the earth is a very deep and well written character until now. his suicidal thoughts broke me... it like stabbed me or something, it reminded me of who i used to be. these recent episodes were heartbreaking, and i just wanna say that the solarballs team did an excellent job on this series. it never fails to amaze me how they wrote something like this. thank you for everything solarballs team, if i could i would support y'all's patreon but i don't have money
