Welcome to another Pokemon Challenge Video!
In this video, we see if I could beat Pokemon White2 with ONLY a team of GIFT Pokemon.

This is how I beat Pokémon white as a kid, only using my gift emboar to sweep everything and the pansage to use cut.

I think the Elesa battle would have been easily doable without grinding if you had just equipped a cheri berry instead of leftovers, or else just tried until you didn't get paralyzed by Static, which only has a 30% chance of activating. Then you could set up Flame Charges and outspeed Emolga.

Truth be told, I forgot about Cheri Berries being an option. But I recall not having any Cheri Berries available at this point in the game. I have done this strategy in later videos though. As for trying until I get a run where we don’t get paralyzed, that is what I did. I didn’t revert to the save file before the battle would be a waste of time compared to slowly leveling up on our failed attempts at the battle. Better to make progress rather than doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result #definitionofinsanity

I don't know if the whole catching pokemon for hms is fair because the only two you need to beat the game are surf and strength and if you had picked oshawott, samurott could learn both of those

That’s a fair point. You’re not wrong. I would caution on using Surf on the team in this game due to the amount of double/triple/rotation battles. Plus, I’ve just always followed the HMs rule to get around that hurdle. Otherwise 90% of these challenge videos would be impossible.

Random pokefacts! Day 1 Signature moves are a move that only a certain pokemon can learn. Like moongeist beam/blast, which only lunala can have (Unless you get it by metronome). Enjoy your knowledge!

Oh yeah. That’s an old mispronunciation tick from when I first played Gen5. Because there Timburr then Gurdurr, so without reading and seeing the final evolution holding columns I assumed the name was “Colendurr”. Since other comments have remarked on my mispronouncing of some names, I’ve looked up the proper way to say these name for future videos. Though some ticks are harder to break than others 😁

Whoopsie! I know around this time I was fresh off completing a battle against Pokémon Trainer Red in HeartGold and his Pikachu uses Volt Tackle. I believe my brain just saw it as Volt Switch but then I would say Volt Tackle instead. No worries, I had made sure to pay closer attention in future challenges against Elesa.

I usually pick the easy Pokémon to get and then train it up a lot. Like braviary, zebstrika, archen/archeops, my starter (i can work with any of them but i prefer emboar and samurott as serp is only great when it gets coil.)

Funny you mentioned that. It sort of felt like one. I’ve done a version of a Nuzlocke challenge in HeartGold before called the Avatar challenge, where you commit yourself to a “Nation” and can only catch certain types throughout the game. If I recall, the Fire Nation route allowed you to catch Fire, Electric, Dark and a fourth I forgot about off hand. It’s easy enough to Google for more info. I recommend trying it out.

Starting this video I can think of just 2 gift pokemon. The starter and the zorua. This is off the top of my head. Isnt there a deerling as well that's barely half a team. OKAY starter. If this was bw1 I'd argue against tepig cause can get a largest egg but no good water types so in bw it's best to pick oshawott for a challenge like this. But this is bw2. So tepig was honestly a good choice. RIP eevee. That bites that its post game. I'm sorry did u say. Gym leader ELSA?!!! Ok first. Its ELESA. 2nd. Elsa is associated with ice not electric. Oh whatever. I've heard that far to many times to care anymore. I love these gym badge puns. And for the record. I have been considering doing this specific challenge. With BW1 or BW2. So this is interesting. DDD...lol. wait...the real slim porky really? Thats amazing. Use our for like a juice box. I'm using that from now on. Thx. And horn Speech. Lol... these mistakes just add entertainment. Also while all the gen 5 names being butchered does hurt me as a massive gen 5 fan. I dont care. It's funny 2 me. Plus I cant speak. Solid guesses as yeah, those are two of my team members are Tepig and zorua. Wish I could have picked up some fossil Pokémon, but they aren’t available in BW2 until after defeating the Pokémon League

@@SolarPrimal that's 1 reason bias considering doing this in bw1 over bw2. With a largest for a fire type which becomes volcarona and an elemental monkey. Plus 1 fossil that's a party of 4. Though i dont consider a challenge run finished till I enter the hall of fame. Which on black and white 1 is post game. However that does mean that the gift magikarp is an option as well...once u best the main plot....seriously though. Unova doesnt have great water diversity. In bw. Snivyvisnlikely the best choice cause tirtouga and larvesta. Though that's still a crap ton on A. Backtracking and B. Grinding. Bw2 is likely easier to do this challenge. So nicely done

Why you didn't teach Dig and Rock tomb to Porky, They would've helped against Elesa.

Dig is usually the obvious choice when facing Electric types, but Emloga is also Flying type so Dig would be ineffective. In later challenges in White2 I’ve done, I do try to use Dig against Elesa, but I encounter this very same problem. As for Rock Tomb, I stray away from lower accuracy moves where possible. 80% chance to hit can still hit, but there is the risk of a single miss that could end that run. If I encounter a similar scenario in a future challenge run, then I’ll give it an attempt.

@@SolarPrimal Well, you'll have to some game editing in order for him to have multiple starters. And you can't get Ash Greninja in X and Y. Your easiest choice is Pokemon Yellow tied with Let's Go Pikachu. But don't forget the Hoenn games either. Its your design if you want to make a Hoenn League Team or a Battle Frontier BestTeam.
