In the late 70's to early 80's, we were blessed to have soul,funk,disco jazz funk and much more. Ofcourse, the black folk had virtually cornered the market where this was concerned. However, there were some bands that were black and white. There were even some all white bands that tried to compete with the black folk. All of this aside, when disco was king,we all loved the music and atmosphere that disco created. I am in my 60's now and still love this music. I even boogie when I'm on my own as I still can't dance to save my life. Dynasty are still a band that i love to listen to and boogie to.

Dynasty left us with some classic jams. The entire damn band gets down with vocals. Solar Records put out some shit. They need more props in the history of R&B

Solar Records and Cotillion released SO many classic albums. I have amassed much of it on cd. The only artist I don't like is Carrie Lucas. I like Horsin' Around from 1984, the rest is pure late 70s disco to my ears, and in my opinion she stands out like a sore thumb compared to the pure class of the other artists on Solar and Cotillion.
