I wanted to give more information on the food. The Kaya toast (kaya is coconut jam), is a typical breakfast with soft boiled eggs, teh or kopi (traditional tea or coffee) Bak Kut teh means pork rib soup, there is two versions of it, herbal or peppery. Peppery soup is more popular, and people like to dip the pork in dark soy sauce (which is slightly thicker and sweeter) Chili crab is usually paired with fried mantou (mantou is plain steamed chinese buns) Dragon fruit comes in different types, the purple insides will be sweeter, I would recommend that instead =) Singapore is quite a melting pot, so you could find food with influences from neighboring countries. Next time you could try Hainanese Chicken rice, popiah, rojak, Chendol and maybe Durian fruit if you are adventurous. Hope you had enjoyed your stay in Singapore!
