Solartron 7075 Part 2 - Interlude

Today is one of those days I just should have stayed in bed! Trying to fix a Thanda logic probe and my other failures. First go at using my new Owon HDS272S, I have to say very impressed the autoset function is flawless.

Same logik probe as I have, bought in in the 1980s, don't you just love it when chips plug in much easier than desoldering from double sided print.

I will have a look on Tuesday when I'm back at work to see if there is any diagram with the instruction book. Thandar were very good when I accidentally blew up my power supply they sold me a service manual but it's about 15 years ago and I seem to remember it cost something like £18. I will get back to you on Tuesday.

I'm not sure that logic probe is replaceable. I've had mine for 20 to 30 years and they are probably no longer available. They have a fairly tight voltage input limit as they are designed for ttl/cmos mostly 5v stuff. Anything over 5v would blow it I assume, perhaps even 12v.

I have replaced it with something more modern but not as nice sadly. Keep my out on eBay.
