Is there a way to create dependancies? Say you have a UPS that a few switches are plugged into. SW is monitoring the UPS and the switches. What is the easiest way to set it up so you only get a notification on the downed UPS, vs getting an e-mail for each device? Or even if a main router goes down, one notification for the router, and not all the other items that went down because they are dependent on it?

in notification setting, you can define only sent an email only for specific devices and not their dependency

So in the example: Router 1, Switch 2, Switch 3. S1/2 are connected to R1. If you set that up, won't it make it so that S2/S3 will never send a notification then if they go down and R1 is up?

Can you create a tutorial for creating custom reports in Solarwinds. based on the platform. For example, lets say that I have Cisco 3580, Cisco 9300, Brocade 7250 and Brocade 7540. I would like to know how to create a report based on the platform.
