She's the lead singer for the Carolina Chocolate Drops (from North Carolina in the US) - they were up for Grammy this year but did not win. Alas. I have seen them live and they are awesome. You can check them out on youtube.

I'm warming to this version (on the CD) - but I saw Solas live just a few weeks ago and I preferred Niamh's voice live much better. I wish they'd used her on the CD to be honest.
