Between 1999 and 2006 General Motors produced the most reliable trucks and SUVs ever built. You could get 400000 miles plus. Nowadays not so much.

I just bought an 04 Z71 in white with over 100k miles and I love the thing. Never drove a more comfortable and versatile vehicle. Keep up the maintenance and don't beat the shit out of it and they'll last forever. I would buy a second in a heart beat.
