SOLD- Demo Acrylic Abstract Painting/ How to paint abstract

‪@paintingsbypintar‬ This painting just SOLD at the Ocala Festival of the Arts, Oct 24, 2022. This video shows the bulk of work I put into making this abstract painting using acrylics. Random sketches and thoughts were used to come up with this idea. With my approach to abstract i don't really have a solid vision of the final piece so I briefly discuss the challenges about what I feel and think as the painting progresses. Using a variety of acrylic paints plus brushes, drips, squirt bottles, trowels allows me to experiment throughout the creation process. Some channels say it's easy. Creating a unique and compelling abstract is not easy. My goal is to create a piece of art that someone loves and will purchase as part of their collection.

What are you spraying on it? water? turp?

Water. Never tried turp but I've seen interesting results using hair spray....I think the alcohol interacts with acrylics in a strange way.
