I don't know why because I watch this stuff all the time but I'm always amazed at how many watches are out there. You can't buy a Rolex at an authorized dealer but there are a million of them in the hands of the grey market dealers. It's absolutely crazy!

Miami Beach Antique & Jewelry/Watch Show was rocking hard this weekend. Lots of retail customers and a fair bit of b2b happening. Was amazing. Enjoyed spending some time talking to Roman about Daniel Roth and the brands that are starting to get the recognition and love they deserve. Convinced me to finally pull the trigger to get my LLC and make this a real side hustle. No slinging subs for me, unique pieces.

The overproduction of new newbie watch channels and new,, dealers,, every day, and new,, experts,, every day, quoting prices, condition, and etc.. Is slowly but surely killing the grey market of watches

The watch market is one of the only markets I have observed where every buyer negotiates baked in profit. After a watch goes through 5 or 6 sets of hands, all that baked in surplus artificially raises the prices of the watches. Folks get priced out and the final owner stands there holding the bag, claiming the market is down. SMH. Wow
