Bruce to make the 20 foot tall inflatable man work with the exhaust on the pulling truck, try using about a 6ft piece of straight pipe, that's the same diameter as the short exhaust pipe coming through the hood and attach it with an exhaust connection clamp to the top of the exhaust pipe and pull the inflatable man down over the piece of 6ft pipe, then duct tape it about where you were duct taping it in this video and I believe it would fully inflate that way.. I also believe with a 6-foot pipe extension,, it would take a lot of the hotter engine heat away, keeping it from melting a hole in it so quickly..

Put a piece of 10 ft flexible aluminum vent on the exhaust, give the exhaust gas some distance to cool off a bit..
