Sold my Spartan for THIS! Sonicwake 6s Level 1!

I’ve been rc boating for over 30 years. I’ve had everything you can imagine and the plastic sonicwake is still one of my favorites. I have a v1 and v2.

9500mah Battery is to heavy with the stock trim tab settings. Go up on your trim tabs about 1-2 turns and it shouldn't cut power. Boat was running to "wet" get it up out of the water some and youll go faster with that battery

Thanks for the advice! ESC cut power off because battery delivered enough flow to trigger a safety cutoff on the esc.

What's the "sweet spot" for battery size for this boat. It's stock esc. Stock motor. I upgraded servo and added the rc boat bitz back end, so it has a different rudder, trim tabs, and fins. I usually run 2 x 3s batteries and was trying to find the best setup. 1 x 6s battwr or 2 x3s. I truly appreciate your help

Weight is a big factor in boats. 5k to 6.6k Ah is the max I'll go due to weight. No matter what you only get a few mins run time with electric RC boats. I hit 80 mph yesterday with my 39" mono.

I have the new Spartan and the SonicWake and I like them both. The SonicWake does have better features and I like the Spectrum stuff, but the Spartan seems a LOT more stable on the water. The SonicWake just bounces and rolls and seems squirrely and crashes more often. For that reason, I have more fun with the Spartan.

I need better batteries. Trying out brand new 3s 6200 cnhls that came today. Hope they are better than my zeee batteires. How do i get better at finding the best CG? The stock atraps are brutal and the entire plastic cage in my V2 is now loose.

All the Proboats are rebranded Joysway and Ripmax Rc Boats from China. The difference is the Probats come with better electronics and better hardware. The stock prop is garbage. Also, sharpen the Rudder and Turn fins as they are dull and create drag which draws more amps and does not get to its full potential top speed. You want them sharp like a Knife. Little things like that will also make it handle better and prevent blowovers from the Rudder and Turn fins creating lift. The Octura M445 prop or a Grim Racer 42.55 1.3 pitch will wake the boat up and gain you 5+ Mph. They sell pre-sharpened and balanced Octura and Grim Racer props on the Offshore Electrics Website. Worth every penny. It takes crazy skills to do a prop. I have been doing them for 10 years and still can't get as perfect as Offshore Electrics gets them. I think they use a CNC Machine.

Question about stock arrma rc cars, how do u fix sloppy steering out of box to tighten up for speed

The tie rods are usually a little sloppy, towards the end links

Traxxas boats are not faster than the Proboat boats. That i can promise you. He is getting throttle cuts because he is overloading the ESC with the big battery.

The wiring length is fine for this setup. Shorter is always better but it doesn’t make a difference on this boat.

That’s slow on 6s! A 10000mah battery is too heavy you will snap prop shafts.

It cutoff at that speed. It certainly had more! I think the battery pushed hard enough to choke the esc
