I'm so glad you found what you wanted!! I'm with you on the straps. I've always thought it looks a little odd and mismatched when made to be one long crossbody strap. I visited a fendi store in new york and they had told me this is seasonal. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. He also mentioned that the amount of people looking for this bag is insane. Sadly, they are not in stock anymore. And nobody sells them in after market as well

such a beautiful bag! congratulations!! i was really considering getting a new baguette, but i have not purchased any Fendi since 2010 because their quality is just not great for the price. love their designs, but i was surprised to see that even on this bag they still have the screw-buckle since the first baguette. i have LVs from my aunty from the 90ies and baguettes from the early 00s, and while the LVs look and feel amazing, the baguettes have split leather and chipping hardware. i also love the peekaboo but i’m afraid i will be dissatisfied with the quality in the long run. maybe the baguettes i know have seen too many parties :)

I think most of the item nowadays will be not as good as it was back then. I’m talking also beyond bags such as fridge, microwave, clothes etc. My cousin told me that the reason for that is because companies back then realized that when they gave a customer a bag that will last a lifetime they wouldn’t get as much consumers/customers compared to if they make a quality that has an end to it meaning the clients will come back to get more of their item. The qualities are still better than cheaper bags but they made it only to last for few years now and not for a lifetime. That’s why you see a lot of bag collectors aiming for vintage chanel(or vintage luxury bag)now also because the bags made during those time were the best quality of handbag ever made. I just got my hand on this bag hopefully it last long.

I just received my 1st Fendi and it's a baguette. I was not excited at all. I was sadly disappointed with the whole packaging and how the bag was packaged. Omg! I'm just not sure if I want to keep it anymore. The long strap is too short as a cross body too and I'm 5'4. It also smells awfully weird. Like it's been sitting in a container for years. The gold hardware also looks so used. My 1st experience with Fendi spending that much money made me mad at myself for even trying in the first place. But your bag is beautiful.

Oh Mary, that's horrible, I'm so so sorry to hear it. Obviously it was an online purchase? I'm not sure if you saw an earlier video I made about quality issues on online purchases - it's not good enough is it? I've only had great experiences but I've also only bought via a SA (SA inspect and then send to me) rather than direct from a warehouse.
