Not every property needs to be a monument to modernism ? it evokes a period in time, what's so wrong with that ? there are plenty of pure white open plan sparsely furnished concrete architecturally designed buildings, why tear done a perfectly preserved piece of Hollywood history ?

This house would've been the heights of luxury for a 1970's/80's/90's Hollywood star or celebrity, but the interiors are very dated in some rooms. Great architecture, but in need of a refresh.

I'm a man too, An openly gay one. I just thought it would be cool if another female author who loves to write novels purchased this estate. It could give her...or him inspiration to create Amazing novels just like Jackie Collins did.

This property is fine the way it is. The art deco influence and the layout scream commercial property. This would be great as headquarters for a design agency, interior decorator, someone that can appreciate the vibe this property offers. This property is custom designed! You gotta appreciate that. I love the motel-esq layout and the furniture. Whoever thinks this property deserves to be torn down is nuts! The only things I would update is the kitchen and bathrooms which are common areas for renovation, thats it! Love it!

Humm...I am a bit confused about this house. It is too close to the road for my taste, and too spread out. What I do like is the fact that it has a little Art Decco flair.

Who would want to replicate this house? It is boring, out dated and cluttered. Probably needs to be torn down and rebuild another mansion.

I think it was torn down by the new owners, that's too bad. I really liked the outside more than the inside. The outside is great. I really didn't like the library look of the foyer. I didn't like her base colors of that pukey tan and recessed lighting belongs in a office building. It would have been nice to see more contrast in colors and better lighting but I did like the skylight. Overall its was great.

I wonder what the point of a remodel is gonna do, its not gonna make it look modern enough. I dont think it works theres too much that needs to be brought to life and the whole building is a blast from the past. This requires a complete teardown.
