Hello, how do you make or wire a 1/4 inch jack to 2rca connectors cable

is it true that by using same conductors, but connecting them to a TRS plug instead of a TS one, you can prevent the signal going through it from getting distorted and "hummed"?

What temperature do you use for the soldering iron? I have a Haako FX-888D. Never mind, I heard you say 700 degrees. Also, what size cable are you using? Mine is 12 awg w/jacket and the jacket looks too big to go through the REAN 1/4" strain relief.

This would be using a 700 degree tip. 12 awg is way too large for this application (1/4 inch TS to RCA). This is more like 24 or 26 awg.

I thought through what you said and that makes sense. My thinking was to use the same 12 awg cable all through the signal chain but I forgot the connection from the sub-out to the amp is only transferring a small amount of power which will get amplified later. Thank you for your help.
