Just watching this video to prep myself for a similar job, I've done 8 pin eeprom smcs but this is going to be a pain in the ass. We'll see if my hakko 851 will work with these larger packages, and I ordered some fresh solder paste

Great video! I learned how to solder on practice boards and diy kits and whatever else like old TV boards etc. It seems that the lowly wick and trusty flux, with a little skill mixed in, can remedy most errs. The issue isn't your method or even the tip. It is hard to dispense a small amount of the paste, so I always go over it with wick after to get rid of the bridges. These fine prong IC's are tough to solder. I have done many and I still hate it. I know that I will have to wick it every time, so don't beat yourself up. You did an excellent job. I love your videos keep them coming.

Who cleans smd ic pins using a desoldering wick?Only flux and solder applying is enough to clean.

your device wont start up, because the flash IC TSOP48 package like in the video contains the devices Firmware

Nice vid! very professional both as youtuber and IT pro. (sorry for my english im spanish and actually learning... hope is not a problem) I need help... I got two ssd's of 120 GB that i want to solder them to make a single 240 GB ssd (same brand and model) and i want the computer to recognize it as a single drive just like with a normal 240 GB ssd also i wondered if i could do the same with hhds or usb flash drives I dont understand why but i cant find anything,i dont want an external RAID device to do this just solder the devices so if you know how to do this or if you know any tutorial i would appreciate it a lot, i been three hours trying google but no tutorial like this was shown ... I wondered if i could just solder cables from one disk's SATA pins to the other one,and then connect supply energy to both ssds,but only connect one SATA cable to the motherboard...
