Thank you for helping me out. I just ordered the B165 3-way switch. I'm installing an 81/60 combo in a 1998 Used Japanese Jackson Dinky DXMG with the reverse headstock. Should be awesome. Take care!

hi, where did you get this kit? I've looked everywhere but couldn't find a kit like yours. What i did found is a wiring kit w/o the B165 Switch but with the Battery Bus (the one you said is not needed in video). If i will buy the Pickups not as the ZW set but separately, the install procedure will still be the same? in-addition, the ZW sets comes with a volume/tone knobs pre-soldered and not he ones that you used in the video?

Say man... That kit does look sick! Now I am having a problem with the kits available and the one you have in this video. I don't see any kits coming with that battery cable or "ring" cable unless you go for a 3 pickup set. Now say I want to buy the Zakk Wylde set. I'll need a 3-pos Strat switch. Does the wiring included in the Zakk Wylde set work with that switch in a Jackson Dinky RN? Any help would be immensely helpful! Thank you

What kind of guitar? I have 81 and 85 humbuckers which is basically the same as the Zakk kit. They seem to send more wiring than needed just not the right directions.

@randygotrhythm I just went for it actually. Got the Zakk kit and the same 3 way switch. Switch came with the battery cable and ring wire I was asking about! Saved me a lot of headache! All wires up and sounds amazing!

I have a 5-way switch, and it's too tall. I'm worried that even if i remove some wood in the cavity, it won't sit flush

Correct. No ground wire is needed with active EMGs

Do you have any tips on troubleshooting? I installed all of the same hardware on the exact same guitar and im getting zero output from the guitar. Ive probably quadruple checked the wiring and its all correct 😢

Without having hands on it ..sorry no. Power - New battery? Can you plug in and tap top of pickups to hear amplified taps?

@randygotrhythm actually I'm just an idiot and have the pickups wires plugged in upside-down. After 4 days it's FINALLY working and omg dude I'm losing my mind with excitement. I owe you the biggest thank you bro. Don't think I would've been able to do it without your video!!

I'm about to order these for my jackson js32. Looks like that switch barely fits under the cover. Have you had any issues since the install?

Nope - no issues. I'm not sure if all JS32s have the same cavity. These guitars have great necks & with some good pickups they crush imo. Best o' luck!

Pickup plugs into the volume, and the outputs of the volume then go to the switch in their respective plugs. Ex master vol bridge plugs to switch bridge. Then switch out goes to jack.

Yes, you just go from the output of the volume to the jack instead of to the tone.
