Dude, Soldier Boy was sooo not a problem, he was not a bad dude. I'm not saying he was nice, but he wasn't ever evil, and he is absolutely a man of his word. He didn't need Hughie and Butcher, he never needed them, and he never had any reason to go after Homelander, especially after finding out Homelander is his son. The guy was still willing to honor the deal, even though it meant killing his own son, and possibly even his grandson. Homelander has ALWAYS been the actual problem, they really screwed up lol they had Homelander, he was toast, and then Soldier Boy would've just went off into the sunset to go be by himself forever, because it's obvious he has no desire to harm anyone else, or control everyone like Homelander does. Soldier boy was so a problem. 1. Yes, ne was evil. Look what he did to Black Noir and Gunpowder. 2. He didnt mind that they were helping him finding the rest of Payback and serving them on a plate for him while he was getting high and having sex with old women. He has a personal reason to hate Homelander and has nothing to do with him honoring a deal. Remember the reason he beat up Black noir in the gym? He obviously doesnt like competition and being upstaged and somoene else stealing the spotlight. We can see he enjoys the spotlight by being in movies, so Butcher or no Butcher- he would have tried to kill Homelander once he got out and realized it was Homelander who replaced him. Him having a deal with Butcher was actually very convenient for him and he used it as an excuse. 3. He was a control freak literally. He controlled his old team, set up boundries for them and forbid them to outshine him. Him punchinig a kid and no less but his own grandson is freaking evil. Do I have to remind you of all the shit Soldier Boy has done because it seems you forget it lol
