Soldier Boy is "a true arrogant military man who is aggressive by nature, doesn't care for others and his actions are aimed towards his own selfish desires and ambitions, towards fame and glory." Both characters share a strong "aggressive bada*s" so it is very easy to show emotions of Dean underneath the facade of being aggressive when he should always be genuinely aggressive who hides apathy underneath all.

He spent 15 years playing one character, and a lot of who Jensen is, is tied up in that character, so naturally, it wouldn't be a shock if he did slip back into Dean mode. Yes, he's an actor, but, again...15 years is a long damn time...and to your other point, as Will Smith should NEVER be paired with the Rock in terms of acting skills... regardless how you may feel about him after the slap, what he did in King Richard, Ali, and Pursuit of Happiness should at the very least make you respect his talent. Ryan Reynolds, RDJ...they both play the same snarky egomaniacs in just about every movie their in. Ryan Gosling always plays stoic. I'm beginning to think these might just be acting styles. Not everyone is a chameleon like Depp, Brando, Wright, Oldman.
