Soldier Pass Trail - Devil's Kitchen Sinkhole - The Seven Sacred Pools

Join me on an epic journey as we hike the stunning Soldier Pass Trail. Get ready to be captivated by the beautiful breathtaking views of red rock formations, lush greenery, wonderful varieties of cactus, and unique geological features. We will also explore the famous Devil's Kitchen sinkhole and the Seven Sacred Pools.
Most of the hike is generally considered easy. The terrain can be somewhat challenging in some sections if you decide to go up to the cave.
This is a very popular area for running, hiking and walking, so you will likely encounter other people while out exploring.
I would recommend downloading a map or two before you head out.

The Soldier Pass trail head parking lot is about 9 minutes by car from downtown Sedona. Parking is very limited and requires a fee.
It is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
Directions from Downtown Sedon to the Trailhead
Head south on N State Rte 89A
0.3 mi
At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto W Arizona 89a
410 ft
At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on W Arizona 89a
1.2 mi
Turn right onto Soldiers Pass Rd
1.4 mi
Turn right onto Rim Shadows Dr/Shadow Rock Dr
0.2 mi
Continue onto Canyon Shadows Dr
292 ft
Turn left onto Forest Service 9904 Rd
