Inhad one of those on loan from another channel a while. I unknowingly cut into a steel lined rubber hose and dulled it. What a MAJOR chore to restore that edge!! It's well made but this model is too thick for my tastes.

I was looking at these guys a few weeks back. Didn't pull the trigger due to budget but now I'm thinking reconsidering..."Just to go over that thickness again!" HAHA!

I really like the shape of knives like this, with the really deep choil type thing that starts the handle, my white river backpacker has the same thing, only to a lesser extreme lol. Super comfortable to use. Looks like a fantastic knife, you buying it or sending it back?

That looks pretty cool, if the bladeshape was a little bit pointier it might actually make for a good Survival Knife. Thanks for showing off this brand, never heard of them before but this looks promising :)

I like the 'maintain no shill balance' ethos of the channel but if it means more videos, free shit is ok, just not any old crap & keep reviews honest -- ppl can tell the shill channels. Maybe include a USD conversion for international viewers unfamiliar with toilet paper dollars ;)

looks useless to me, this sort of toy-knife. it cannot cut (geometrY of the blade), cannot chop and baton properly (too short), you cannot strike with the back of the knife ( the handle is too short).
@CedricAda7 жыл бұрын
Before you say it cannot cut, I would suggest watching my video where I cut many things with it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJrCiaWLiMmCjsk Its smaller knife for more rugged uses that I would generally need, but I think it has a place in the world, rather than being useless, as in good for absolutely nothing
@tirimpipipimpi77127 жыл бұрын
I checked the video, the blade is sharp, you are right, but the blade soooo tiny so there is not enough space for back and forth movement for actual cutting, so you have to take a grape! even for mid size apple it is too short. so mostly what you did is pushing through material (push cut). while the back of the blade is so thick. and what is the thickness near the edge? what is the angle for the edge? try to skin the apple or a potato with it. for such a small blade it is a common task. try it on your manilla rope test, so we could see that it would probably be dull much earlier then you would expect from this type if steel, since the geometry if the blade isn't for cutting. that is just my thoughts though. but please be honest with the viewers, since otherwise there is no sense in whatching your videos. there are tons of channels prasing this and that. not many who give objective information to be trusted.

(Late comment): Trimpi, If you look at the range of HH knives, you'll see they are primarily 'tactical' tools. They're not designed for bushcraft or kitchen use. The easiest way to describe these designs (in my humble opinion) is that they are weapons. However, this design has the potential to also be a 'First Responder' tool for the average Joe to keep in their glove-box in the car. It will break windows, pry open doors, cut seat belts and quite possibly hack through battery leads if need be.
