I'm just thankful my duty was fulfilled before I became a father or grandfather. I have trouble being away from my kids and grandkids for more than a day or two. I can't imagine the heartbreak these brave service men and service women go through missing their families for months on end. I salute them all.

My daughter learned how to salute when she was 5,while her Daddy was away with military training. I'm a proud military wife,my daughter brags about her Daddy being a soldier and we salute an American flag everytime we see it. It's called being a PROUD AMERICAN!

When I see videos like this I miss my brother so much, but then I remember how much of a person the marines had changed him to. Everyone sees him as a sweet person who just jokes around a lot, in reality he is still as cruel as I remember from my child hood maybe not as abusive it was hands on but verbally my brother is the same if not worse. Though to this very day I love an miss him I will never forget how he use to treat me. Or the names he has called my sister. I will always love and respec

This reminded me of the time when my mom and dad went to a different country for a year and left me with my anties and uncles. On the day they were coming back my family didn't tell me. So when i entered my house all my family were there + my mom and dad. I didn't care what the rest of the relatives or friends were thinking i just through instinct freaking ran straight up to my mom and dad and hugged them like crazy. I know how it feels to be that girl This video brought tears to my eyes
