I grew up around ramadan, never celebrated ( my brothers' side is Palestian). Today is my first day celebrating, I am a cook for a living. Cooking and not being able to eat remind me not to take food for granted. I am excited to be able to eat later tonight, I think everyone should experience ramadan.

There are others that have a greater position and roles to make a greater difference but this Ramadan will Insha Allah unite the Entire Ummah across all borders and passports. 5 interviews per day for that 1 appointment with the Angel of Death, with simple struggles such as Fajr salah. We can all do so much more because of all the sacrifices of our past ancestors, we will fight today’s wars so tomorrow the burden is uplifted from our children tomorrow

I do think that the sins still occur during ramadan because of habit if you have a bad habit you'll still do it , you'll be tempted to do it even if shaitan is not here . So ramadan is here to help us take control of ourselves and not to indulge in bad habits , and in the end of ramadan inshaallah this habit will disappear and make you a better Muslim.
