@@meganmcintyre3077 we as believers will always be tested with different obstacles. Whatever they say or believe will only effect their deeds and judgment. Your situation reminds me of 3 things. One of the only times that we dont have to listen to our parents is when there is a difference in their believe. The second thing is that there is a verse for those who doesnt believe you can just say, to you your religion/faith/believe and to me mine. And the third thing is that one who is guided by Allah, no one can misguide and one who is let astray no one can guide. So just be kind to them and be strong in your faith. Right, except the Quran says that the Earth and sky were joined and pulled apart (21:30). This is very problematic because as you know the Earth did not exist at the beginning, and also this is a common local creation myth (Sumerian god Enlil did exactly that). And in 2:29 Allah says that he finished the Earth and THEN turned to the sky - which is the wrong order. It seems like Allah doesn't know how the universe and Earth was made, which is a sign to me that the Quran is a book of very limited 7th century knowledge and ideas. It also says that the Moon and Sun each have an orbit while mentioning day and night, so it's talking about the Sun going around the Earth, a common view at the time. There are trillions of stars and trillions of planets with day and night, so how is just one of them a sign? This is how planets form, spinning around stars, nothing amazing about it, basic physics.

Also, why does it mention seven heavens which was another ancient cosmological idea of the time as there were seven objects that moved in the sky (Sun, Moon and five planets) and people attributed an orbit, celestial sphere or "heaven" to each of those? Some people worshipped their motion and went around their temples seven times in the ccw direction, in Yemen for example, and Muhammad and the Quran adopts these ideas. Yes, the Sun is orbiting, however that is not mentioned anywhere in the Quran. The Quran talks about the orbits of the Sun and Moon in terms of day and night, so it presents a geocentric system. The Sun's orbit takes about 220,000,000 years, and has nothing to do with day and night. So, why are you mentioning that? Where is the "resting place" of the Sun, and where does it go at night according to the Quran and sahih hadiths??

And recently it is discovered that sun is traving with all the planets. If in the seventh century the myth was about sun and moon is revolving around earth but not in a single verse it is mentioned that they are revolving arond earth. And why QURAN use the word kullun which at least means three or more object if ALLAH has to mentioned about only sun and moon "ealaa hadin sawa" Which means both must be used why kullun which means all is used. You are not denying but the signs of your LORD. remember one day you have to die so please reflect on QURAN with open heart.

We are not made from water though, animals on Earth, as you should know, are carbon-based. Our DNA does not have water molecules in it. We need water to survive and there is a lot of water in our bodies, but you can dry us up, removing all the water and what's left behind is our DNA which has carbon etc, but no water. Also, that verse contradicts itself in the Quran MANY times, is it water, mud, dust, clay, earth, nothing, a person? 11:61 It is He Who hath produced you from the earth 15:26,28,33 We created man from sounding clay 17:61 ... Thou didst create from clay 32:7 He began the creation of man from clay 19:67 We created him before out of nothing 23:12 We created man from a product of wet earth (loam) 23:12 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay) 38:71 I am about to create a mortal out of mire 3:59 He created (Jesus) out of dust 30:20 He created you from dust 35:11 Allah did create you from dust .... 30:19 It is He who brings out the living from the dead 39:6 He created you from a single Person (see also 4:1) It sounds very very much like Allah didn't know what we were made from. Notice that none are carbon based. The Quran is simply re-stating old creation myths, just like it does in 21:30 when it says that the Earth and sky were separated (in Sumerian myths the god Enlil did that), and of course the Earth did not exist at the beginning.

@@ismailhajat Hi. No my friend, you're understanding basic biology incorrectly. Yes, as I mentioned there is a lot of water in our bodies, as there is inside of say fish and plants. However, if you dehydrate a human, a fish and a plant by removing all the water, what is left? How can you tell them apart? They will have very different DNA, which is carbon based. If you don't understand that, then you don't understand biology. Keep in mind that the idea of things being made of water is an ancient one. The Greeks philosophers talked about this at length (the four elements) and many claimed that water was the primordial element. You can squeeze a bug, you can see the blood inside animals etc, and easily conclude that the liquids (water) is what we are made of. However, this is not what we are made of on the actual biological level. Hope that makes sense :)

The Quran borrows from local, man-made creation myths, legends and scientific ideas of the time (as the Quran itself mentions - "tales of the ancients"). Take Q21:30 for example which Muslims claim talks about the Big Bang. This was a common myth from Egypt (Ra separated the heaven and Earth) to Iran (Enlil separated them) - Arabia just happens to be in the middle! If you read the Sumerian creation story you'll see it is found in 21:30: “Enlil, lord Nunamnir, the En, his utterance cannot be countered, separated Heaven from Earth, separated Earth from Heaven.” - Krebernik 1998, p. 321, n. 805. This myth and the verse are of course wrong because the Earth did not exist at the time of creation (not for another ~9 billion years) and you cannot separate the Earth from the havens as it is part of the heavens (sky/universe). The classical tafsirs scholars understood the verses exactly as the myth implying that the Earth existed but it did not rain on it until it was separated. Then in 2:29 Allah gives the wrong order of formation, finishing the Earth before working on the heavens (as confirmed by the best Muslims scholars in the tafsirs like Ibn Kathir), which contradicts the Big Bang. No cosmologist will ever explain the Big Bang in such a way. Muslims today are forced to re-interpret the Quran and the science to make them agree, but if this verse was not in the Quran and I showed it to you, you would have no issue saying that it's a scientifically incorrect ancient myth. Ready Reynold's "The Bible and the Quran" which shows the countless local myths and legends that the Quran uses, as well as man-made sources such as rabbinic and apocryphal sources.

But everything came from space, what is your point? The entire Earth and basically all the atoms in your DNA were made inside stars. So, this statement makes little sense. Do you find it interesting that the Quran re-states a well known local creation myth in 21:30 when it says that the Earth and sky were pulled apart (the god Enlil did that in Sumerian mythology)? The Earth of course did not exist at the very beginning, not for ~9 billion years, so this verse is very wrong. Why would Allah mention a silly myth versus saying that the universe started from a tiny point? People couldn't tell either idea apart back then, but now we know that the Quran is wrong.

Please check out Dr. Gary Miller, Maurice Buccaille to read the details, how the Quran confirms modern day findings and the logical reasoning. Plus when we read the Quran with sincerity we clearly see the truth. Who Quran is the guidance for is clearly given in the first 5 verses of Surah Baqarah. It is not the guidance for those with twisted mindsets.

Nothing in the Qur’an suggests the author had any knowledge of pulsars. Rather, it uses the word “At-Tariq” to describe the star as “night comer” since it is coming out and becoming visible at night. ‘Night comer’ is given for At-Tariq, from taraqa, meaning to knock, on account of how at night visitors would knock on the door, whereas during the day it was the habit to leave doors open, and the visitor would simply call out and seek permission to enter. This name for a star existed before Islam and can be found in pre-Islamic history. What star “At-Tariq” is referring to in the Qur’an cannot be determined. Commentators said it may refer to Pleiades, Saturn, or no particular star at all and may be applied to any star. Pulsars do not actually emit any sound but merely electromagnetic radiation and thus do not knock. The sound one can hear in the audio recordings of pulsars are radio signals interpreted as sound; it is created by connecting a radio telescope to a modulator, connected to a computer, connected to speakers. “Ath-Thaqib” merely refers to the light of the star and how its brightness is piercing through the darkness. Tafsir At-Tabari and Al-Qurtubi explain this phrasing in detail by using the sayings of the Arabs, demonstrating that is has no deeper hidden meaning but rather means something mundane. Female pre-Islamic soothsayer Zubara’ using the same word (At-Tariq) the fact is she used the same word definitively shows that there is nothing scientific or miraculous in the Quran’s usage of this word. If one were to maintain that there is, then one would have to also say the pre-islamic poets such as Zubara’ had miraculous foreknowledge of science only discovered in the 20th century.

Also the Prophet mentioned that no one will come to the day of judgment better prepared than those who have said that a 100 times a day or those who have added more. Jesus (peace be upon him and all the prophets sent down to us.) Used to wash parts of himself and then prays, and he used to spend nights and early mornings praying to god. Let me ask you this question who is closer to Jesus ? A christian or a muslim ? He used to fast, pray, and believe in one god. The man didn't do all that as a god praying to himself ? What do you mean by the truth? I have studied astrophysics for many years, have read the Quran and can see many basic mistakes in it. For example, 21:30 states that the Earth and sky were joined, and then separated. First, this is exactly what the local (Sumerian) creation myths say (god Enlil separated them) and second, everyone knows that the Earth did not exist at this time (it took ~9 billion years before it started to form). Yet, all the classical Islamic scholars say that the Earth existed and it didn't rain on it until it was separated. Then in 2:29 the Quran says that Allah finished the Earth and THEN turned to the sky, this is the wrong order. Again, Islamic scholars agree with this verse and say that the Earth is the foundation and hence needs to be finished first... This is exactly opposite of what actually happened. So, Allah doesn't know how he made the universe. How can the Quran be the truth then?

And you're telling me that science today says that the Earth existed at the time of the Big Bang, when the universe was initially all energy, then plasma for ~400,000 years, then it took billions of years to form our galaxy and eventually Sun/Earth? What "science" says what the Quran says in 21:30, please let me know. The Quran also says in 36:36 and 51:49 that ALL things were made in pairs. Is that what science says, because I know of science that says that there are species which reproduce asexually (no male/female, so no pair) - didn't Allah know about these? I have many friends who were Muslims, but once they started to learn actual science, they left Islam. So what you're saying makes little sense.

@@theastronomer5800 with all due respect bro i am no position to answer those questions as i don’t have the correct education within this field but i’ve lived my life studying this faith, with all the ups and downs i’ve endured in my life this religion is the only faith that honestly got me my peace back. At the end of the day it’s all about inner peace and what the instincts feel towards their own belief. Everyone will die one day and only God has the keys to unseen. I respect what you believe and i pray that God guides you to the truth whatever you may think that is. The Quran has many other scientific miracles that has been backed my science which i’m sure you are aware of such has the human embryology etc. But like i said if you go onto read a scripture that’s the word of God with the intention of looking for mistakes throughout your life then that’s up to you, but if you read it with an open heart then this book may change you. Maurice Bucaille was an example of a man who was born Christian who had several credentials that government leaders would seek help from about science. He came across one miracle and was mindblown, he went onto spending his own time to study Arabic just to read the Quran from his OWN perspective to look for faults himself personally as he couldn’t believe himself that a book with so much detail can be written by a man in Arabia who wasn’t literate. One was where government officials found a body of a king in Egypt who is identified as Pharaoh, the government got Maurice Bucaille who was a non muslim at the time to do autopsy on the body on how he died, low and behold he discovered that this body of the Pharaoh was drowned due to the salt grains on his body indicates that he was drowned. (Story of Moses and the children of Israel and the splitting of the sea). When he went to Arabia to speak about this finding a muslim told him that we already know of this as it says in the Quran specifically about Pharaoh who was a tyrant ruler “So this day We shall deliver your (dead) body (out from the sea) that you may be a sign to those who come after you! And verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Ayaat” [Yunus 10:92] This obviously led to Maurice to go onto studying the Arabic language to read onto himself and EVENTUALLY became Muslim due to the other scientific miracles within this book. He went onto creating his own book which is called “The Bible, Quran and Science” which was released in 1976 and sold over 100,000 copies within the first week. Maurice Bucaille was no ordinary man he was a man of intelligence and high understanding as he was a Medical Doctor and a senior surgeon in France. Maurice is one of 100,000 or even more to come to this faith after studying it with an open mind and heart. Have a blessed day my brother I appreciate this conversation we had :)

Have you taken the time to read the Quran carefully, as well as the sira and sunnah? Have you taken the time to study a bit of science and history? Anyone who does will see that the Quran contains many local man-made myths and legends of the time as well as (incorrect) ancient scientific ideas. Just as an example, in Q 21:30 Allah uses the old Sumerian myth that was around: “Enlil, lord Nunamnir, the En, his utterance cannot be countered, separated Heaven from Earth, separated Earth from Heaven.” - Krebernik 1998, p. 321, n. 805. This verse (and the myth) are of course wrong because the Earth did not exist at the time of creation and you cannot separate the Earth from the heaven as it is part of the heaven (sky/universe). Yet, the classical tafsir scholars understood the verse exactly as the myth does, the Earth existed and it didn't rain on it until they were separated. Did anyone mention this to you as a kid?

@@cloakedsplit109 First, we know that the Arabs were great caravan traders for centuries before Muhammad and interacted with other cultures, we also know that Jews, Christians and others lived among them which had different ideas. Knowledge was most certainly shared if you read historical texts, and most was passed around orally since most people didn't read or write at the time. You're ignoring history by saying otherwise. Take for example the many Christian myths found in the apocryphal gospels (like the “Protevangelium of James", the “Infancy Gospel of Thomas” or the "Arabic Infancy Gospel"), which were popular among heretical Christian groups in Arabia - the stories of Jesus talking as a baby, making clay birds etc. These are found in text that were composed in the 2nd-6th century, no historian thinks that they are historical yet the stories are found in the Quran. Ideas such as living things being made from water have been discussed for centuries before Muhammad by many people, not just the Greeks. As you know the idea of simple elements such as Earth, fire, air, water, light and dark were common in the ancient world to explain what things are made of. Simple observations show that living things need water and contain a lot of water, however, they are NOT made of water - we (and other living things on Earth) are carbon-based life-forms, there is no water in our DNA chains. The Quran also says that we're made of clay, another common Mesopotamian myth, but clay is mostly silica and there are no silicon atoms in our DNA... Notice that Islamic beliefs say that angels are made of light, and jinns of fire! There are not "correct" scientific ideas in the Quran. Please point me to any that you think are correct. I find that people who don't understand science re-interpret the Quran to make them sound correct, or, they dismiss people who actually know science. The Quran simply contains some things that could have been observed by people and known, or ideas of how things work which are wrong if you want to be scientifically accurate - just as I mentioned creation from water - I'm not aware of any biochemical process that takes water molecules and turns them into carbon-based DNA chains.

The Quran divides creation into 7 layered heavens. 6 of these layers are ghayb (6/7ths or 85.714286%) or the unseen and 1 layer (1/7th or 14.2857143%), the layer we inhabit, is the shahid or the world that is perceptible to the senses or the Dunya. Science now similarly divides the universe into dark matter (approx 85%) and matter (approx 15%). So, the Quran told us about dark matter (ghayb) 1400 years before science discovered it. The Quran also gave the percentage of dark matter to matter or 1/7th matter and 6/7ths dark matter. In Surah AtTariq, Allah (swt) also told us about the Piercer (ٱلطَّارِقُ) or the 'hole boring star (ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ). The Piercer is the rotating black hole at the center of our Galaxy.
