just bought the horizon. very impressed. It was the quick response to incline and speed changes that tipped it in favor

Those quick adjustments really do make a difference 👌 thanks for sharing your insight!

How fast would you say the adjustments are? We just bought one and it seems to take forever…about 8-10 seconds from adjustment to the motor reacting. I reached out to horizon but haven’t heard back yet.
@ImApringle Жыл бұрын
@@m3driver245 I mean it’s not instant but it is noticeably faster then the sole f63 which I compared side by side with this one. Also noticeably faster then my old semi commercial treadmill. If you changing the speed and the motor does nothing for 8-10sec then adjusts there is probably something wrong. I checked mine from a speed of 0.8 km/h to 10 km/h it took about 8 -10 seconds. That’s faster then my old treadmill and definitely feels faster then the sole f63. There was no delay from when I pushed 10km/h on the console for the motor to start speeding up
@JSimon-or4ve Жыл бұрын
I noticed this as well, on sole you wonder if it was changing or not. The change in incline is pretty fast on the Horizon when I tried them side by side. The Sole does eventually get you there. it takes more time.

@@ImApringle I opened up a ticket with them about the issue. Turns out the communication cable was damaged and once it was replaced the treadmill has been wonderful.

Went to Dick’s today where they have both side by side. They are both awesome machines, it was a difficult choice. While I preferred the controls of the Horizon ($799) I found the deck of Sole ($999) to be more comfortable. My wife and I share the machine. We both only walk and jog, but hope a runner’s machine may give us better durability? On the whole I found the Sole slightly more solid but that is not to say the Horizon is shoddy in any way. I did choose the Sole. I did opt for their delivery and assembly ($160). I did this because if there are any damage or defects it is on them to get you a new machine (I’ve read all the online horror stories about defective equipment and hassle of getting it fixed). I also added 4 years onsite additional warranty ($219).

I am seriously considering the Sole and that is mainly bc of the durability as well as the customer service is supposed to be better than most - but I will have to recheck the horizon cs reviews. That being said, this video shows the Sole is really bouncing while the Horizon seems to be more stable - though it is supposed to be more shock-absorbing. So I am a little curious as to which is better based on the demos. The more bouncy/more like concrete (Sole?) or the softer yet more sturdy-seeming Horizon?

You said the console of the Horizon shakes a bit, but looking at the video the Horizon 8:27 does not move when compared to the amount the Sole 7:55 shakes. Were you referring to sideways motion of the console? ..I have not run on a treadmill yet, Im choosing between these two of my 1st purchase. ..

The newest 7.0 AT Studio treadmill now easily connects to different fitness watches. Does the Sole F63 do the same? I have an Apple Watch Ultra and that is important to me that the treadmill connects to it.

Great video! I currently use a treadmill 2-3x a week at my college, but would love to have one in my garage gym as well. Definitely considering both of these options.

The Horizon is quieter judging by this video.
@JSimon-or4ve Жыл бұрын
I think the machine seems louder, but the running (foot steps) sounds louder on the Horizon. So when you're actually running on them, the Horizon will sound louder overall. This is when I ran on them side by side at Dicks, I found the Sole more sturdy. I'll need to try one more time though to be sure.
@MABardowell11 ай бұрын
The horizon is quieter because it has three pads. The Sole is like running outside for runners who like that feel of the ground.

I have arthritis in my knee so I am looking for something soft on the joints. I walked on a Sole 80 and it was really hard. Do you think the Horizon 7.8 is softer than the Sole? Anyone feel free to answer… I can’t find any in stock to try out.

My main question between these two are the actual max incline measurements. The Horizon says its 15%, but the Sole says you have 15 incline levels to choose from. Horizon saying 15 levels does not mean that it goes 15%, it just means that you can choose 15 settings between whatever the min and max incline percentages are. I wish Sole would be transparent and say what their actual max % is.
@TreadmillReviewGuru22 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment! We've actually measured this with our testing. The Horizon 7.0 AT measures accurately at 15% and the Sole F63's "15 levels of incline" translate to 11.6% incline at its max incline. Let us know if you have any other questions.

No comment on the easy change controls on the Horizon?
@JSimon-or4ve Жыл бұрын
I found the controls to be easier to change on the Horizon as they have those vertical handles for easy changing. It's definitely more convenient, but it does takes away from the space in front of you.
