I just realized that" the animal in me " could be a metaphor for any hidden aspect of yourself or talent and how at you are prevented from showing it much to your anger, then in you yearn and become confident enough to want to show it to the world to really stick it to anyone who didn't believe in,insulted or wanted you to hide this part of yourself. All the while from beginning to end you see yourself as what the world doesn't want to see you as. I only came to this conclusion now I hope I'm on the right track at least. :)

Why do so many songs I find are relatable? I’m gonna sound SUPER edgy- Edge ahead; I feel like I have an animal because everyone knows me as the nice-but-really-weird person. When I get angry (which not many people have seen) I have to push down the anger. Because if I don’t I can end up hurting someone... Lol this sounds like stoopid edginess

If you push the anger down for too long, it'll only get worse. If you want to break stuff, go to a forest (if you live near one) and break sticks and throw rocks at trees as hard as you can. If there's no forest, just run as fast as you can, and don't stop until you feel like dying. If you're angry because someone treats you wrong (abuses you, doesn't listen etc.) talk to someone about it so things can change. If there's no visible reason for you to be angry and you don't know why you feel like that, talk to a therapist. Don't hurt others, but most importantly, don't hurt yourself. Take care, I've been there too
