@Chase Leonardo Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.

will the Be and Sn make the material weak because of the higher yield strength?

Sir I am very grateful to you. I have only one suggestion. Please add all strengthening mechanisms videos together so that it can be easy to understand. Great effort 🙏🙏🙏

Dear sir, why do small interstitial solutes segregate to tensile region?
@Patanegn
@Patanegn 5 жыл бұрын
Difference in Young's modulus also contributes to strengthening right? So it is both radius and young's modulus difference.

You are right. i have ignored the modulus difference. For complete description it is required.

Sir In case of positive edge dislocation we know that above slip plane compressive and below tensile region exists ...but in case of strain filed which is created because of solute atom how do we know which one is compressive and tensile ...?
@rajeshprasad101
@rajeshprasad101 4 жыл бұрын
If the matrix atoms surrounding the solute atom move towards (away from) the solute it will generate tensile (compressive) stress. This will be the case if substitutional solute atom is smaller (larger) than the matrix atom.
@shivamgoyal3888
@shivamgoyal3888 3 жыл бұрын
Sir, will be the yield stress also increase (or any other phenomenon happens) if the solute atom size is very very large compared to the base element

Why it is called solution hardening or strain hardening, why not strain strengthening?
@introductiontomaterialsscience
@introductiontomaterialsscience 4 жыл бұрын
You can call it solution or strain strengthening. Hardening is more common.
