solid suspension on a fwd this is how i do it

this is how i do the solid suspension on mi fwd cars, i found it has worked good in the past . do you have a different way of doing it please let me know

I used a large U-Bolt clamp before. Works good and can be re-used on each car. Wish we could use those strut backers on our cars!

What are some other ways people build backers behind the strut? See any small simple designs? If I can come up with a small amount of metal needed, I may get it allowed.

DemolitionMissions some thing I was thinking maybe a larger exhaust clamp backing not the u bolt part but the other half welded to the frame it's small shaped like a u and it's strong , you can also bolt it though the factory holes in it so if it needes to be removed it can be I will pm you want I am think

one thing i would love to know is the best ways on keeping cars cool longer .i see these big show derbies n they last 30 plus min without smoking n local fairs there smoking in a few min. ive tried bascs but wats your best idea on keeping motor cooler longer would love to see some videos on that thanks love your vids

motor oil cools help alot and good fans on a radiator do wonders the trick is keeping the radiator in one piece well thats my problem

If u run the vehicle on methanol it will keep the motor cool, “all for him racing” has some videos of guys talking at a convention and a guy talk about running methanol and said the motors will last a long while without water

correct me if im wrong, but isnt this the same idea with bumper shocks? cant these explode under high heat, hence from the welder?

i find if you weld the cups it just pulls the cups out of the tranny but i have tried it and never had luck i found a 3/8s bold on the cup will keep them in and give a little extra space just in case they want to come out on you

This is a bit off topic but, is there any way u know of(or if it is possible) to weld in the cv shafts on a fwd so it can’t pop out. For example if a car has aluminum spindles and they break could u weld the cv’s into the tranny so they can’t come out, to bypass that issue?

Jesse Houghton I think they hold up the same but I think the 2 doors are easier to build just because of the cage and stripping. I always like 2 doors because the driver door is bigger so it gives less of a area for some one to hit on driver side of the car

Gary Garrison the less parts move the less likely they are going to brake , so by making them solid it stress the ball joints a bit more but the axles less
