My personal theory is that Jimmy is SUPPOSED to be human, but the joke is getting so powerful that it messes with Jimmy's form to justify itself. Multiple other empires members in on the joke also being literal gods, so they are probably trying to use their own lore powers to overwrite Jimmy in order to make said "joke" into a reality. Stay safe and stay human out there Jimmy, even if it means exile.

Got a diffrent theory. At the start of empires jimmy was a human and he was a human up until the first potion of lore was thrown at him, the potion of lore being able to Chainge someones lore, but for a limitid time when it was first thrown. Wich is why jimmy eat the Apple, the Apple of Lie made sure to deal the potion of lore would work completly if ever used just slowly. But the second potion of lore changed that and speed up the proces turning jimmy in to an actual toy

At this point my theory is an inverse of the magic hat theory: I think Jimmy most likely was originally a human, but the sheriff hat he found didn't ONLY grant him the authority of the Law. I think the powers of the hat came with a hefty price - a curse of slow but inevitable transformation. As the bearer of the curse, Jimmy himself is unable to feel that's he's slowly transforming more and more into a toy, but the others can see signs of it. Of course, being a highly mixed bag of eglectic people and creatures themselves, the other emperors (and now hermits) assume what's going on is simply a case of Jimmy having been a living toy all along, and are pushing him to not hide it because all kinds of people are accepted here. Meanwhile any change Jimmy notices himself at this point, he is most likely to think is someone playing a prank related to the "joke" on him. Now... the one who seemingly started the "Jimmy is a toy" -thing? Joel. A literal god, immensely powerful in Lore and blessed himself by the waters of the fountain of Stratos. It would be easy to blame him for the curse, but I think it's more likely that he could instead spot it before anyone else. Being a god, he could tell that the previously human Jimmy was slowly transforming into a toy and, being the himboest of all gods, decided that he had to be the first one to show he was in on the joke. As Jimmy kept insisting on his humanity and it became clear that the sheriff wasn't actually toy-ifying himself on purpose however, the original joking became something more - the ever excalating attempts of a god with no idea how to communicate properly with mortals to shock Jimmy into realising what is happening to him. Who knows... if the curse progresses far enough without being addressed - something that can only be done with Jimmy's consent which in turn means he has to first accept it's happening at all - it might be too late to do anything about it. Our sheriff might forever be stuck as a toy.

Honestly, I think it's too bad you aren't a toy, if the lore potion is honest about what you would look like as one. As a person, you're just another average builder doing anything they can to try to stand out, like Joel, or Scott. But if you were a toy? Of that *size*? Dude, you'd be bleeding massive. Go stand near a Villager child. You're almost as big as *they* are! Think back on just how rare a phenomenon that was.
