I am interested in a career in dapp especially solidity. But the recent plunge in crypto is worrying me. I keep hearing ICOs are not the way to go and ICOs have no future. What do you think? Thanks so much

I don't think this is so but sadly it is true that a lot of the ICOs out there want to make a quick buck and this is why the industry suffers. Even Facebook banned ads for anything related to crypto. People think ICOs have no future because there are a lot of tokens that do not add value at all. They are just being a simple token with no unique functions at all. I event teach inside the course how you can create a basic token under 5 min. IMHO the future for this technology would be DApps and they do implement some kind of tokens inside of them. Take Cryptokitties for example. They are based on the ERC-721standard. Technologies like that will stick, others will fail in the long run.
