Beats N gaminG Mafia 2 does not make you feel like an actual mobster, there tends to be a shitload less shooting from made men. Not only that, but the gang warfare is completely open, it should take a week at tops to take down the Falcone family. There are very few cases of crime families committing mass shootings, it caused too much attention. The most they'd get involved in is assassinations. Not shooting your way through the entire city. It also tends to be a lot more brutal, most likely brutal enough to make someone like you (a gamer with no actual experience with anything in real life thinking the game he plays is how it actually is) piss his pants and start crying like a little girl.

I agree 2 is so much better than 3 ever could be. But the first bit on this video was not fair. You compared a scripted scene in Mafia 2 (when Vito comes home) to generic walking around in Mafia 3. A fair comparison would have been either comparing the same scene in Mafia 2 to the Mardi Gras bit in Mafia 3 (still lackluster compared to Mafia 2) OR compared walking around clips of both games.. The way its set up now makes the video come off extremely biased from the start. Just a friendly tip :) keep the videos coming :D

I don't really care what anyone else says, but Mafia II's story is so fucking good, its movie like. Every character was truly developed, and it made them unique. It's such a story driven game, and story driven games like The Last of Us, and Uncharted are really good. But then Mafia 3 just kills the whole Mafia vibe (they should call it Mob cause it nothing about the Mafia) and they just throw out the last two games. Just some random documentary about some random bad ass black guy. And the main character is pretty badass, but so boring. Vito had a life, like in the cut scenes he would flirt with girls, bring over prostitutes, and was pretty comical and funny at the right times. But then Lincoln's is just kill, watch my friends get killed, get mad, kill some more, kill a bit more, watch associates cry and be babies. They pulled a saints row, and they completely killed Vito's story and character. I wanna forget Mafia 3 so I can go back and wish, then get something good... And the graphics suck. But, its fun for a little while. I'm just sad the good old story of Vito and Joe has been fucked in the asshole. Infact the good old story of the Mafia has been fucked in the asshole, with no lube.

My biggest complaint with Mafia 3(which is a common complaint) is that it is SO DAMN REPETITIVE! And honestly that wouldn't be the worst thing if the game was just sooo fun that I wouldn't even care about it being repetitive, but it wasn't. I'm a gamer that cares more about actual gameplay then graphics/story etc. Like a game can have a shitty ass story but if it was fun as hell to play then I would rate it high. An example would be Star Ocean 4 for the PS3. Forgettable story with terrible voice acting, but damn did I have a blast with the game cause the gameplay was excellent(IMO) so I'd give Star Ocean 4 a 9.5/10, it was honestly one of the most enjoyable games for me on the PS3. Now what does this have to do with Mafia 3 for me personally at least? Well, Mafia 3's story was good. The game looked pretty nice as well, but the gameplay was decent AT BEST. I mean it was fun for a couple hours killing motherfuckers lol but literally every mission in the entire game more or less is the same exact thing. So because of that I'd give Mafia 3 a 6.5/10. Because I did enjoy it, but only for a short while, and no matter how good a story is in a video game, If I'm not having fun playing it then my overall experience with the game drops immensely. I would never go through this game again, once was enough. Edit: And just to make this clear, I do care about stories in video games, all I was saying is that what I care about the MOST by far is the actual gameplay.

Calipto why doesnt that work? It's 2016 and the A.I., attention to detail, as well as design choices in game should all be improved upon from prior years. Yet sadly in all too many games do we see developers going backwards with immersion, a.i., and the amount of care put into games. We even are still stuck playing games at 30 fps even though that was the standard 15 years ago and technology is supposed to have improved way beyond that by now.

Don't forget the mirrors. In Mafia 2, the mirrors work. In Mafia 3, the mirrors don't work for shit and stretch out the characters. The game also doesn't give you enough to do. Sure it gives you a bunch of repetitive shit, but after you beat it, there is nothing! In Mafia 2 there was replay value, good character development, and high-octane gang rivalry in the streets!

I feel this is just a bit unfair at certain points. I agree with u about 90% but things like not being able to customize your car is inaccurate. Yeah mafia 2 had a WAY better customization garage, but mafia 3 does have some cool stuff like ordering back up, bribing cops without getting out of your car, having a car delivered, having guns delivered etc. so Mafia 2 is FAR FAR FAR SUPERIOR than 3, but i’d say if Mafia 2 is a 10/10 i’d give Mafia 3 a 7/10

Mafia I had both story and free-roam elements. It was great. Mafia II had great story but was limited and unfinished. Mafia II was way ahead of Mafia III even though it was unfinished. In Mafia AI feels live, they are doing stuff.. Mafia III AI are dumb fucks and everything feels empty and repetitive, like game is in early alpha..

If you have two brain cells active then you would say that Mafia 3 is a disaster comparing to Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven and Mafia II. He's pointing out somethings I can agree with. For example the driving, the fact you can't interact with cars at any sort. But he forgot to mention the unrealism compared to other Mafia games, the story, the feeling of the game, the repeating missions... And you have to note that Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven was made in 2003 by 20 people in Czech Republic and Mafia II was made in 2010 in Czech Republic aswell and they are more detailed and more realistic than a fucking 2016 American game.

Mafia 1 was like the Witcher 3 of its day. It had so many things right. You can ride the cable cars, the AI was intelligent, story was insanely good, each mission was very unique and memorable, the immersion was incredibly well-done. And guess what, you can punch the car with your fists, and it will dent up realistically. I played Mafia 2, and was so disappointed, because it left so many things out. Then there's Mafia 3, which is pure trash, and now I'm back playing Mafia 2 just for nostalgia's sake.

I just want to say this. I had such high hopes for Mafia 3. Now I will not say it's a bad game overall because it is not. However, I am personally fond of Mafia 2, It is my favorite of the series. Now I personally enjoy the "sight seeing" aspect of Mafia3 as far as buildings and greenery go. Basically this is pointless and you're jumping on the bandwagon saying what every one else say's the story is better in Mafia 3 Mafia 2 is just a generic Mafia story Mafia 3 at least has a original story, every game that is a 3rd person open world game get's called Compared to gta, Mafia 1 got compared to gta, if you think opening a fucking the hood of the car is and closeing it again makes a good game you have something wrong with you.

Robb You couldnt change lincolns clothes until the patch. Something that was in Mafia 2 AND GTA on release Mafia 2's story was emersive and had you going on missions alongside other characters in the story rather than those characters constantly sending you on tedious little tasks in the same locations over and over again. Sure the cut scenes in Mafia 3 would make a good movie but Mafia 2 focused on gameplay. Something that Mafia 3 is lacking.

@@sethgyellins the fact you can flush a toilet. They pretty much added animations everywhere in the game, while mafia 3 cuts down atleast half of the content in mafia 1&2. It's like the toilets in Fallout. Yeah, its completely useless, but its fun to do.

I played Mafia 2 and loved it, this is the main reason i went for Mafia 3. Expecting the Same quality gameplay, instead i got a big dissapointment. U cant Just say that u cant go in without expectations on a game that is a sequel, its more than logical that everyone is going to compare it to the previous parts. Most of the sales this garbage game Got were from people who are fans of the Mafia sequel.
