You're awesome. 1:1 Scale tip is amazing. I even didn't know how to do that.

Please, do you know, how to create a second sheet with no format displayed? So sheet 1 is fully dimensioned and annotated as a design document, while sheet 2 is never printed but used only for DXF export. I would like to have sheet 2 in a stage with no background of displayed sheet, so I can save 1:1 flatten part without having trouble to fit paper size. We have parts for bending from small bracket with size of a little matchbox to the hopper side wall, 4.5mm thick mild steel sheet metal, with a surface about 2 square meters

Good Question- You can disable the sheet format on the 2nd sheet by Right Clicking on the sheet and choosing "Properties..." to bring you to the Sheet Properties. Then clear the checkbox for "Display sheet format". This will cause the sheet to have a blank background for clean DXF export.

Yes, that is how we do that. So there is no option at all to do not see any background sheet on the screen even before export to DXF. There will always be something. It is not exported, but it is there...

Would you be able to achieve that by choosing a Blank sheet as the drawing template before creating the drawing. Then all you see is the drawing with no Title block etc.

I want to export a solidworks 3d model to caddie or Autocad, my probleme is dwg or dxf is a 2d setup that does not help me, any tips how to get a 3d model working in caddie

You might want to try exporting an ACIS / .SAT file (File - Save As, .SAT extension) - this is typically what we would recommend for exporting a 3D file to AutoCAD or DraftSight. If you need a 3D DWG as the end result you could import then import .SAT file into AutoCAD or DraftSight and export a 3D DWG.

What is the Library Feature used for in Entities To Export at 5:50 ? Kindly Respond
@hawkridgesystems4 жыл бұрын
This will enable or disable export of any smart features or other features from the Design library that you added to part. Common examples would include hole patterns or cutouts that get reused. We have a video here on creating library features if you are interested: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnXcoI1-ab1lp80

if the headline of the video says the video discusses DXF files then please don't discuss sheet properties. people don't like their time wasted

We added timestamps in the video description if that helps! Simple DXF export is covered in the first couple minutes and then the rest of the video covers more advanced settings that may only be relevant in certain situations
