A good and brief SolidWorks Motion Simulation. It does assume however you know major commands and the basics of SolidWorks assembly. For those who have difficulty understanding SolidWorks simulations, I do recommend going thru SolidWorks tutorials first before getting into simulation.

Alot more work than with Softimage or 3D Max, but considering solid-works is not a very good 3D program, this is pretty cool this can be done with 2 steps in Softimage

how to change initial position of parts in assembly for motion analysis? when we move from model tab to motion study tab. Motion study take its initial position from model. if we want to change initial position of part in assembly. the motion study does not accept new initial position... how can we change initial position after one calculation?

coefficient of restitution is a ratio of velocity's after impact over velocitys before impact. So a coefficient of restitution of 1 means that the relative velocitys of the balls are the same after the collision as they were right before the collision. 0.9 would mean that they lose a little velocity after impact.

Hello, Thank you for great tutorial. I never used Solidworks, I have built an autonomous watering system for plant, using used plastic container. I want to design the container with more rigid material for long term use, so I started to learn 3D design. I want to ask whether is it possible to see force, pressure or rigidness of the design?

muy bien explicado, y eso que yo hablo ingles sino 10%, pero yo hubiera utilizado el comando copy with mates en vez de la tecla Ctrl para matar varios pájaros de un solo tiro en cuanto a las copias y las relaciones de posición. gracias.

Hi Stephen, seen your video re the motion and is very interesting, I am trying to create a motion study which is a steel sphere hitting a glass pane, however something is not right in my model. can I send you a video and you see if there is something wrong with that? many Thanks Carlos
