You don't dimension flat patterns on a drawing. You care about the bent final state as a design engineer. You don't care how the vendor got there, and besides flat patterns are unique to a particular material, especially in precision sheet metal parts. The manufacturer often has to bend test pieces of a specific lot of material to determine the unique K factor, so therefore any CAD generated flat pattern can be meaningless. The drawing for part procurement has to be the fully dimensioned bent part. Dimensioning from bend lines is also not allowed.
