Very helpful. I knew you could design mechanical systems with blocks, but this really shows how to. Also I did not know about the "Path" option. I use blocks whenever I can for setting up parts that need to be at an angle but are difficult to fully define in a normal sketch. I also use blocks exclusively for Logo's. Logo's as normal sketches are way too slow for some reason and block work really quickly. Only issue is when you scale a block below .1 it becomes difficult to select. Solidworks can be so finicky sometimes! Anyway thanks for the great video. Blocks are a very powerful tool that there is very little information on youtube about.

Hi thanks for the comment. Yes I agree blocks are super useful for all sorts of applications. That’s interesting about setting them up for parts on an angle - I am going to look at using them for logos next week and then hope to look at adding them to custom drawing templates. Solidworks does have its funny ways sometimes. Your very welcome - thanks for commenting, I like to hear how other people work and hopefully I can learn some new ideas from other people as well.

That was a really useful video, and I'll be trying this out at work. It was an area I'd yet to explore, but it seems fairly straight forward. If you're open to constructive criticism, I'd shorten the first 2 mins or so of the video. It was basically "hi I'm ____ please like and subscribe..." with more words.
