At 16:28, you measured depth should be equal to 2 mm, but initially carved shell of 3 mm.. why is there difference of one mm. Or I am getting something wrong??

I believe the "3mm" is the wall thickness of the shell. The depth was created by the 5mm extrusion of the square. 5mm-3mm shell wall = 2mm. *edited*
