You saved the day. I have an instructor (I use the word loosely) assigning projects in sw but we were never taught to use it, only inventor. This one in particular is pretty difficult for us noobs. Someone in class found your video. It's excellent. Great views, explanations, the step by step was perfect. Can't thank you enough. :)

I have an error when adding the shut-off surface some of the loops appear redundant. who can I fix it?

hi, my model did not automatically select the correct loops (it selected some redundant and contact loops) do you know whether it could be one of the settings in solidworks that makes it do that. i have repeated this tutorial several times in order to make sure i have not missed/did any steps incorrectly.

hey i had the same issue...did you found any solution for that?
@randominternetguy35374 жыл бұрын
@@vatsal1857 yea, when selecting the splitting line, it chooses the wrong one, you have to select the line that connects the 2 perpendicularly aligned faces.

@@glintongfernandez1845 no clue. It was just a fix I found for a class I took in hs. We went to use a different program the next year. It was garbage imo. It was more efficient but much more difficult to use and mess around in. I gave up, failed the class, and barely got my pos paper for graduating a POS hs.

Thank you very much, it made my life easy, otherwise I will have to go through the solidworks built in tutorial step by step to understand the subject which I hate.
