This week in Visualize Quick Tips we show you how to create and easily position new Area Lights simply by clicking on your geometry where you want the light to illuminate or be positioned.
Only available in Visualize Pro 2018 and newer.

I wanted to add narrow strip of light under my cabinet as LED but it only show light in the centre of the light not through whole lenght. And also I can't move it like you do. Whenever I drag those arrows it only rotates the light. Do you have any suggestions what am I doing wrong. Thanks for answer.

What kind of light are you using? I would recommend the new Area Lights (plane), exactly as shown in this video. Also make sure your Area Light is indeed outside of the surface, so it's not impeded by any geometry. To scale an Area Light, you do not need to use the Scale widget from the Toolbar. Instead, you can adjust the sliders within the Area Light settings called "Rectangle Width" and/or "Rectangle Length." See timestamp 03:40 in this video for these settings. I think your issue is the following: when moving a light, there are two positions you can move by enabling the Move tool from the main Toolbar and clicking on the small white cubes in the Viewport: 1) the white cube in the middle of the area light moves the position of the area light, 2) the white cube at the "target" location keeps the position of the light, but rotates/moves where the light is pointing at. Please see timestamp 03:50 of this video to see both the little white cubes I'm talking about.
